Harmony & Me Live - Eastern 11/25 to 12/2

Photo uploads continue to be a problem.

The first sea day was the first formal night. Always enjoy the duck. 

 

 

 

Captain Johnny was out for photos by the car

 

 

We had reservations for the Fine Line, but Seas were too rough, so it was canceled. 

 

 

A good note to end the day, was the grats were finally corrected. Does that mean our problems are behind us?

Thanks, but some things still continue.  I have been to guest services more this cruise, than all past cruises combined.

The second sea day, we are up on the track early.  Seriously, who paints the lines for the track so that there are posts in the lane?   And how many people ran into the posts before they put the bumpers on?

The second sea day was our Meet and Mingle.  Maybe 20 out of the 74 registered showed up. Our friends won the big prize of backpack, bottles, hats, etc., and Susan won this lovely bottle of wine.

congrats on the win...I always wonder why people don't show up..when they chat for months before the cruise?

It seems to be that way lately on Royal Caribbean. We had very few show up on Allure last March. But then , we won the top prize.

I was so sorry to hear about your misadventures during check-in, that must have been an extremely frustrating experience 😞 On the flipside, I am glad that both you and Susan are enjoying yourselves onboard and am enjoying your video, Periscopes, and review immensely!

I agree.  I like the dining room as an option for lunch.  I don't mind the windjammer, but I also don't mind being served a lunch or having something different than the windjammer once in a while.

Glad you got a chance to see the scopes. I am relatively new to doing them.  

 

Yes, we are moving on and having fun.

We have been back there a few times, and plan do do that on our upcoming cruises.

By January, you may have the Royal Caribbean app. They announced this morning, that it will replace RoyalIQ in a week or two. 

 

Sorry I got behind on the “live”, but I will get it finished.  I guess I had fun time to make up.

Wow, I fell seriously behind on my Live review with all the CC issues and our issues onboard. 

 

I will continue with what is now, a post-Live review if anyone is still reading, or really cares. 

 

I left off with our Meet and greet that was not well attended. We had time to squeeze in our slot pull after the meet and greet.  On any previous cruise that I organized a slot pull, the Casino host always had a couple items they would donate that we used as prizes. Not on Harmony, though.  They said Royal never does that, although they did on our Allure cruise in March. In the end, it was a bust as the machine sucked up all the money. 

 

I guess the good thing about the quick loss was that everyone was able to make the C&A party at the Aqua-theatre.

I wanted to try out the new slides on deck 5, but I think you have to be a Viking to use them.  

 

Not sure what their hours of operation are. 😁

Our Meet and Mingle last year was also small. Our Roll Call wasn't very large either.  I guess times are changing.  Years back, my Roll Call was huge.  People joined many many months out.  (My screen name was different back then.  I couldn't remember what it was and my email address changed.  So I had to start over.) Same was true for my Disney June Vacation Club or whatever it was called. It was fun getting to know people before trips.

The rest of our afternoon was spent at the solarium. We didn’t have any trouble finding empty deck chairs. 

 

Since the Fine Line was canceled the night before, we decided to go see it this night.  Instead of standing in a standby line, we went back the starboard passage on deck 7, to the balcony by the rock wall. It provides a great vantage point, doesn’t require reservations for this area, and if you go early enough, you can get the deck chairs up there.

It is only the third day of the cruise, so isn’t it time for another problem to crop up?

 

I take the nice new sea pass card with the magic red dot that was to solve all my problems, and stop at the Boot and Bonnet to use one of my buy one/ get one free drinks that should be on the card. 

 

The bar tender comes back and says. “ You do not have anything on your card. It says zero. “

 

Me. “Just look it up. That’s why they put the red dot 🔴 on the card.  I am Emerald, and soon to be Diamond with this cruise., so there should be a lot of offers.“

 

So the bartender looks at the account, and says. “Nope. Nothing there for you. You will have to see the Loyalty Ambassador.”  Then he says. “But Susan has one, so do you want to use hers?”

 

Me. “ I will gladly use hers, but I didn’t have much luck with the Loyalty Ambassador my first round.”

 

So now it looks like I will need another trip to guest services in the morning.
