Hotel in Miami area pre cruise

We are looking for a hotel probably in the Brickell area- prefer a Marriott brand if possible.  Our cruise will be at the end of March.

I know it won't help with your preferred vendor, but I just did Hotwire.

Google  it, or look on Hotels.com.....but don't book thru them.  It's a good resource to compare locations and prices....but call the hotel you choose directly....ask if they have any "special" rates.  You can almost always book cheaper directly thru the hotel than thru a 3rd party or the "800" number!

We like the Intercontinental...it's a short trip to the port and it's fairly upscale.  Bayside Marketplace has restaurants, and a bit of shopping within easy (less than a block) walking distance.  Nice way to start a cruise.

We have twice stayed at the Courtyard, Brickell using points.  Food in walking distance with Whole Foods right across the street.  $8.00 Uber to the port, less than 10 minutes to the piers.
