I ended up having to go to my side job after my full time job this afternoon, so I'm just now getting home... I'll try to add a bit more before I go to bed and do it all over again...

Now, we're going all the way back to the first sea day... I had my usual coffee and omelette for breakfast... (Usual for a cruise, not in my everyday life) Today was the cruise critic meet and greet, held in La Cucina...

Afterwards, I explored about the ship. It was pretty easy, as I've sailed the Getaway three times, and the Breakaway is pretty much identical, save for the names of a few venues.

The Breakaway is the only ship where I have experienced the themed lunch buffets at Moderno... Today was Chinese.

Then, it looks like I had a few drinks at Vibe... Maybe more than a few. I remember (my notes tell me so) that I did the ropes course, and I was really drunk. I did the plank six different times. Due to the fact that there were hardly any children on board, the ropes course never had a line.

According to my notes, this was the day that the access door to Vibe broke down, so we had to go through the employee area to enter the area. Also, I explored the way upper deck above Vibe and found some interesting scenery. A lady, probably around 65-70 years old laying out with her top off, and large boobs sticking straight up in the air... Another gentleman (I say gentleman, I never actually talked to him) was donning a garment so small that it would make a Speedo seem like a bit much. Imagine a women's thong bikini with a small "pouch" on the front to hold the "beans and sausage" ... I mean this was the least amount of clothing I've ever seen someone wear without actually being naked... But, I digress...

So, have to ask, one semi professional drinker to you a professional drinker.... did the patches work like you used on this cruise? or the pills from the other cruise? or  did you not notice a difference?

and by the way, your food porn is making me hungry and I literally just finished dinner.

Sid  --  Thanks for the fantastic pictures of the ship.  We're hoping to potentially do a Breakaway this Spring & Getaway late fall...  These provide a wonderful sense of the ship!

I noticed in your food pic's - you may have eaten dessert a few times on this trip - were they enjoyable?

I actually believe that the Rebound patches are the best thing I've tried...

I normally only have dessert once or twice per cruise, but I had it pretty much every night this time. Everything I had was pretty good to great... Most of these were at the specialty restaurants, so that may be different from the MDR...

Sid, as usual you reviews never disappoint. Great pictures and commentary as usual. We will be on the Breakaway at the end of April. Did any of the bartenders stand out more than others? Last year when I was on the Getaway “Happy” was my go to bartender. Thanks again!

The new upgraded beverage package was not available until the sailing directly following mine... Fortunately, they lowered the price of Patron silver under the $15 limit. I did enjoy a few shots of nicer tequila for about $6 over the limit, but they were few and far between...

Oh I must have missed that. Well money saved I guess so that’s good!

Best bartender was Edgar in Vibe... 90% of the drinks I had were made by him. Great drinks, and great service...

Now, we come full circle, all the way back to day 3: Cozumel... The early morning photos, prior to going ashore, were all on another device. We arrived right as the sun was starting to break through the morning clouds. Carnival Paradise was already docked right next to where we would soon be, at the Punta Longosta pier.

Soon enough, we were right along side the aging Carnival vessel. The passengers on board leered over at the magnificent Norwegian Breakaway, wishing they were sailing her, instead of the ship they were currently standing on... (I'm not knocking CCL. I enjoy sailing with them, just on their newer, larger ships)

The sun was rising quickly, and it was time to get ready for my adventure to the East side of Cozumel, which was described in an earlier chapter, though I secretly would not mind reliving the entire day...

The next point in our timeline brings us to day 4: Harvest Caye. These photos occur just after my tour of the Haven, and the private island would only serve as a jump off point for my journey this day.

Of course I had my hand drawn map.

Here's the waiting area for the Placencia ferry.

The ferry ride over takes about twenty minutes and costs $20 for a round trip ticket. I was here a couple of years ago on the very first day that the ferry began service. Unfortunately, this day was a Sunday, and many of the restaurants I had planned on visiting were closed. I ended up having to just fly by the seat of my pants. (Pretty much how I live every day)

It's difficult to get lost here, as there are only two basic paths. The sidewalk runs North to South closest to the beach, and the main road goes the same direction further inland. There are paths connecting the two at several points along the way.

Since most of the places I planned on dining were closed, I ended up at one of my backup plan destinations, Omar's Creole.

I wanted some lobster, which is plentiful here, so I ordered that, grilled with rice and cole slaw.

Of course, I then photographed their restroom.
