B2B Question

Btw— found out that bookings can’t be linked if there are three b2bs; b3b. Carnival DD and our PVP haven’t been able to do this. Only first two are linked. When we do more than two, we do check in with GS to see that our credit card info is carried over for subsequent legs. Many times it is not.

Huh, that's weird.  And it's helpful to know, thanks!

A past tablemate was doing 5 months of consecutive cruises, some were on the same ship, some were side to sides and some he needed to changes ports (all in Florida).  He said it was a bit complicated to set up and his assistant needed to monitor on his behalf.  He was only being acknowledged  on same ship B2Bs.  Since several of the cruises had a day in between, he was not automatically Diamond.

We are taking our first B2B on the Horizon in May and this thread has been very helpful!  Thank you!!    I do have one question, can we do laundry (Saturday morning) before the other guests come on board?  I wasn't sure if we would have access or the laundry rooms will even be open(?).   TIA!  :classic_biggrin:

They will be open.  You need to gather at the appointed time so if you put your laundry in while you are going thru re-boarding, I would put a sign or something so crew know you are still on board.  It may only be a few minutes before  new guests start arriving and those that are will be priority so some may be headed for the laundry also.

When we did our B2B we were the only ones so we may have got special treatment. We met in the lobby near guest services. When the ship was empty they escorted us off, through customs and right back on. We had the ship all to ourselves for several hours. It was great. When we first came back on we had our photo taking with some of the guest services staff and had a complimentary mimosa. A bottle of wine and a fruit basket was delivered to our room. We were also offered a free bottle of wine at dinner the first night on the second leg. We're taking another B2B on our next cruise. It will be interesting to see how the experience differs.

I think you'll love it. Especially if you don't have to move rooms. Since we booked the second leg on a later date then we did the first one we couldn't get the same room so we had to move. This time we'll get to keep the same room.

We were very lucky to get the same cabin, as we booked the April 11 cruise back in January 2018, and then just booked the April 5 leg of B2B last week. I’m very excited about it! But I do know that I will need to do some laundry before the second leg begins, as we start driving down on March 30, and I think if I’m going to make it through to April 19, I’ll need some clean clothes! Lol! I’ve never done laundry on acruise ship, and I’ve been cruising since 1995. This will be a new experience! I’m super excited to also be able to bring a total of 4 bottles of wine onboard and a 12 pack of Diet Coke! Since we usually fly in, we’ve never brought any onboard, but with driving, we will be able. And since it’s two cruises, that amounts to 4 bottles of wine! That will help with bar costs! At least for me. My hubby only drinks beer. Now, the trick will be trying to find screw top 750ml bottles. Lol!

Doing laundry on a cruise ship isn't much different than going to a laundry mat, just on a much smaller scale. If you go toward the first days of your trip then you should be fine. Don't go on formal nights or later in the cruise. Since you don't have to get off the ship I would assume that going on the last day of the first leg would be a good time since everyone else would have to be packed up for their luggage to be picked up. The dryer on one we washed on was so hot that it ruined one of my blouses though so be careful of that.

I'd love to know how it goes getting the 4 bottles of wine on. When we did ours we went back out to bring in the second bottles of wine. No one had any experience that had posted so we didn't know if we would get all 4 through and didn't want to risk it.

I want your T.A. Our last 3 cruises were B2B, never got the royal treatment.

We didn't have one. We booked directly through carnival. We didn't even book the B2B at the same time. I think we may have received special treatment because we were the only ones doing a B2B on that cruise and it was a Christmas and New Years cruise.  I'm really interested to see how this time differs from last. We felt really special for sure.

Somebody else on here told me they just showed the boarding passes for BOTH cruises to get 4 through.

It’s been many years since we’ve been the only b2b guests. High season pricing keeps us out, unless there’s a special reason to cruise then. Happy to hear you were treated well! 😀

We did 3 consecutive and took 6 bottles with no problem. I did have the boarding passes handy, if needed. Didn’t ask for them.
