B2B and changing staterooms question

We’re booked on a B2B cruise and on turn-around day we need to change staterooms.  We have a tour booked for turn-around day departing at 8:15, returning at 4:30.

How is the transfer of our luggage handled on turn-around day when we’re on a Princess shore excursion.

thank you.

You will be sent complete info on what you will need to do for your turnaround day.

Basically, when changing cabins, you only need to pack things in your drawers and shelves.  Things hanging in your closet just need to be hung on the carrier (like at hotels checking in/out) a cabin steward will bring and assist you with the move to your new cabin.

Remember to remove things from your old cabin safe and put them in the safe of your new cabin.

You mentioned being away on a shore excursion on the turnaround day.  Just have everything packed that needs to be so it will be ready for whoever moves it.

If you are in a different type of cabin for the 2nd leg the drawers will not match up.

They have hotel type carts that you can hang clothing on and stack luggage on.

Talk to Stewart during the cruise to see about getting help since you will be gone.

I packed everything back in my suitcase except for hanging items. I used the metal clothes carrier that Old Stewart gave me.

I spoke with both "stewarts" the night before. Basically Old Stewart made sure it made it to New Stewart.

It is easier than it sounds.

Since you are going to be on an excursion you need to pack everything other than the hanging items into your suitcases and make sure the safe is empty.

The last time I did this the B2B packet included a number to call prior to turn around day to request having the items moved.

On previous cruises the move was handled by the current Steward.

I have gone and met my new Steward prior to the end of the cruise to give a heads up I would be moving in and the cabin was ready earlier than normal.  Did this as also was getting off ship.  Sandipalms

We did the same a few years ago, the whole process was quite painless really.
