Tedferg Posted March 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2019 We are sailing from Brooklyn to Canada New England and saw suggestions for pre-cruise Hotels in Financial District. I noticed that Ferry is close by and wondered if this might be a good option to get to cruise terminal. The downside would be handling luggage. You might find this thread useful. It looks to be fairly easy and luggage friendly. It's also a major bargain.
Tedferg Posted March 23, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Great link, thanks - looking at Holiday Inn and will check walking from there to Ferry - don't suppose Taxi would be happy with such a short ride 🙂

The ferry is my preferred mode of transport between Lower Manhattan and Red Hook. The trip is quite easy if you are not overburdened with luggage. There are no stairs at either end of the trip--it's roll-on and roll-off. The following videos will give you a good idea of the respective locations of the Wall Street and Red Hook ferry slips and of the ferry itself. As you will see, the main cabin is quite spacious, with ample room for luggage.
