ATDining question

I know that with anytime dining you can go whenever you want, but can you go as often as you want? Example go early for dinner and then return around 8 for dessert?

I've not tried this and perhaps there are others here that have and can give a definitive answer but I'm going to guess the answer is no. They do check at the podium to make sure you are ATD (at least they did last year) and if you show up twice, they may deny you on the second visit.

You can get a dessert plate to take back to your room for later as long as it doesn't contain ice cream.

No, you have to check in with your cabin number for ATD and cannot check in twice. But you could get eat dinner in the buffet and then dessert in the MDR or vice versa. Most of the options are the same in both locations.

At 8PM there are still folks first coming in to dinner.

I would think that at that hour you'd be going to a show or another activity if you've already had dinner. I don't know if there is a rule against going twice but I cannot imagine doing that.

We have taken dessert to go several times so that's what I'd suggest.

There is also unlimited soft ice cream all night on the lido and some desserts up there too.
