Upgrade Advantage Haven Perks

I have received confirmation that our bid for the Haven Spa Suite has been accepted.  After I received this email, I called and spoke to someone in the CruiseNext office.  He informed me that though we have been upgraded to a Haven Spa Suite, we would not receive any additional Haven perks, such as a butler, concierge, priority embarkation/debarkation, and would have limited access to the Haven restaurant, etc.  This did not sound right so I called And spoke to someone in reservations.  She said the terms and conditions stated we would have all the perks of the Haven, including, but not limited to, a butler, concierge, priority boarding, and full access to the Haven lounge, restaurant, decks, etc, just not the free at sea perks. I tried to locate the terms and conditions online but could not locate them.

Does anyone know what’s included when you bid and win an upgrade to a Haven Spa Suite?

Thanks in advance!

You get everything Haven just like everyone else in the Haven. The only thing that remains the same is whatever perks you got at the time of booking stays the same (beverage pkg, OBC etc)

Nobody in the Haven will know you got yours from an upgrade unless you choose to tell anyone. You will have a Haven room, Haven key card, butler, Haven restaurant etc. etc.

Congrats and enjoy your cruise!!!!

The person at Cruisenext sounds like they have no idea what they are talking about.  You absolutely get the use of the butler/haven/etc.  You also get use of the spa.  You only keep what every perks (UBP, UDP etc) you had at your original level.

There are booking perks, and room amenities.  You keep the booking perks you had with original room (UBP, SDP, free WiFi, etc).  You get all of the room amenities associated with your new room (Butler, priority boarding, Concierge, Spa and Haven Access, etc).

To avoid confusion, use "promos" to describe the options selected when booking. Use "amenities" to describe what is included with a suite/stateroom.

When winning an upgrade, the amenities (butler, concierge, restaurant, priority, etc.) are the same as booking the suite directly. The promos (SDP, wi-fi, etc.) remain the same as whatever was when originally booked. If winning a Spa stateroom (Spa balcony/mini-suite/suite), Spa access comes with the newly won stateroom. If moving from a Spa stateroom to a non-Spa stateroom, the Spa access doesn't come along with you. It stays and goes to whomever moves into the now vacant stateroom.

Curious, what cruise was your upgrade for?

I do wish they’d go back to giving all guests in Haven suites the beverage package instead of just the first 2, it would be a nice perk for booking the suites outright as opposed to getting in via bid.  My upcoming cruise on the Gem in May has almost all the suites unbooked and I don’t blame people, I mean what’s the point unless you just absolutely can’t do without the Haven and /or suite?

100% incorrect information.

YOU ARE ARE A HAVEN GUEST and get all of the benefits of being in the Haven (along with the requirement to tip your Butler and Concierge separately). You check in at the Haven checkin, get escorted onboard, butler, concierge, reserved seating in the theater.

What you don’t get is the Pick All Five Free at Sea benefits. You keep the free at sea benefits from your original booking.
