Dolphin Encounters in Cozumel

Recommended Posts

My extended family (20 of us) will be on the June 9th Allure sailing.  Two of the families - 4 adults and 5 kids (15, 13, 10 and 7s) - would like to do one of the dolphin encounters.  However, there seem to be multiple encounters listed as possible excursions.  Has anyone had any experience with one vs the other or any recommendations / opinions either way?

Thank you in advance.

We did the Royal swim with dolphins, booked direct with Dolphindiscovery.com  which was much cheaper than booking with rccl. Took a taxi to Chankanaab park for $15.    Fantastic experience.

We also had a great experience at Chankanaab in 2015.  Can't remember the exact name of our excursion, one with a bit more interaction.

TIP:  If you go there, you can haggle over the price of the CD with all your digital pictures and get it for MUCH less than the stated price.

You may also want to take a look at the Cozumel forum for alternate ideas:

We really enjoyed our swim with the Manatees there.

We did Chankanaab a few years ago which was excellent. More recently we went to Dolphinaris also in Cozumel which again was fab, this also included paddle boarding and snorkelling if you wanted to do so.

We booked all through RCI.
