dwhe Posted June 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2019 I have never come across this before, does anyone have experience of this and what did you do? I'm staying in a grand suite, on the Guest Ticket Booklet it says I can board anytime between 10:30 and 15:00, but when I completed the check-in I was forced to choose an arrival time for my set sail pass and the earliest was 13:30. I thought one of the perks of suite life was early check-in.
cruisinforabruising Posted June 6, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2019 Ignore the check in time that you select online. They don't enforce it and it's more of a suggestion.
WeLuvVacation Posted June 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2019 Here in NY at Cape Liberty we always show up at about 10AM and have no issues. Don't know if it the same over by your area.
cruiseguy1016 Posted June 6, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2019 Check-in times are not enforced. Get to the pier any time you want and check in. Once boarding starts, if it hasn't already, suite guests will be allowed to board before some of the other groups.
dwhe Posted June 6, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted June 6, 2019 I thought so, I had visions of getting turned away at 10:30 and having to mooch around Southampton for 4 hours.
loveheart Posted June 6, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 6, 2019 Our check in time also changed from 11.00am to 12.30pm when I went to print our passes.
PelicanBill Posted June 6, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 6, 2019 That time of 10:30 to 15:00 is the window that they expect boarding to be possible. Starting 10:30, no later than 3pm. At check in they offer specific windows which is a method to get the arriving crowd to spread out a bit, but as others mentioned, there has not been any enforcement of that. As a grand suite guest you can board any time you arrive once they have started!
