ms Noordam in Juneau August 15, 2019

Noordam will be at the CT dock from 0800-1800.

 

There are only two other ships in port - Eclipse at the AS dock from 0730-2000 and Norwegian Jewel at the AJ dock from 1100-2100.

 

Rain showers are predicted for the morning and overcast skies later on.  The high will be 66F/19C and the low 51F/10C.  Sunrise is at 5:20 am and sunset at 8:43 pm.

You sure can tell the days are getting shorter - not even dawn yet plus the fog.

Pitch dark for ships leaving at 10 now.  Alaska daylight changes very quickly.  I think by the end of the season ships leaving on Thursday will be in the dark.

The Thursday Dam ships try to line up for docking right at 6 am, I would guess this gives everyone time for a leisurely breakfast - though there might be private tours scheduled  earlier.
