Looking for Ft Lauderdale Hotel pre cruise that is near walkable shopping

Hi All!

I am looking for some recommendations of good hotel that is walking distance to shopping. I'd like it to be located in the in Ft Lauderdale not to far from Port Everglades.

Since we are staying just one night and getting in half way though the day. I wanted to avoid the hassles with renting and return a car.

We usually stay at the Embassy on 17th but its booked for the one night we are looking in November.  We may stay at the Hyatt Place that is near by but wanted to see if anyone else had some different suggestions on hotels with similar shopping. We love that the Total Wine and grocery are right in the shopping center easily walkable.

The 17th area you refer to is pretty awesome in relation to your desires. Hard to beat.

Hyatt Place is our go to hotel. We have been to just about every one of them on 17th street and rate it at the top. Hilton Marina tower rooms are also very nice.

Just google 17th Street Fort Lauderdale hotels.  There are quite a few and all are within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

 

What night in November?  If it is between October 30 and November 3rd you may have difficulty finding anything since that is the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Check out Hampton Inn Airport/Cruise port, Fort lauderdale or the Best Western Airport/cruiseport, Fort Lauderdale  .....strip mall across the street has a liquor store, Winne Dixie grocery, dollar store, laundromat, etc etc.....and a great little nondescript  Greek restaurant with super food.....also a local sports bar.   Has everything we have needed to pick up precruise without packing the heavy liquids like shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, mouthwash, toothpaste, salty snacks, wine, etc etc.

 

We have also gone back to the same plaza on a B2B cruise for the laundromat....simply because we knew it was there and we were familiar with the area after a couple of stays.

We like Embassy also but its booked Nov 23rd so we have Hyatt Place for a ridiculous almost $300 one night price as backup. Was wanting to see if there are any other hotels near similar shopping centers

Available 17th Street hotels for Nov 23 on Google:  Renaissance, Holiday Inn Express, and Extended Stay America

I would pick from these 3 in that order. All 3 are doable with Renaissance the nicest.

Everything is walkable on the A1A strip, there are many hotels, tons of restaurants, places to shop. The location is great for waking anywhere, we never rent a car and this is where we always stay.  Enjoy your trip!
