Adventure Ocean question.

hello all,

We will be on Harmony in 37 days! so excited!

I do have some questions regarding AO..  How do staff communicate with us if there is any emergency situation?   I hear that they don't give out walkie talkie or phone to parents so I am little bit worried/nervous.

Also, Do they charge us fee after 10 PM? if that is the case, do we still need to stop by at 9:55 PM to let them know that our kid is staying after 10 PM?

thanks in advance!

they will attempt to  call your stateroom and make announcements  on board.   you can also give them your cell phone number if you will be leaving the kid(s) on board while you  hit the ports.

yes there is a fee for late night care.  not sure how it works, I suggest asking on the Family Cruising board

Have never had them give us walky talkies or anything.  My youngest started cruising a few years ago at 4.

Have always found the AO staff on board a bunch of different ships to be top notch.  My kids always like going.  Normal hours where they don’t charge extra is 9-12, 2-5 and 7-10 on sea days.  They are open all day the ship is in port.  A lot of the time your kids can stay between 5-7 and they take them to the windjammer for dinner.  This has varied by day and by ship though.

Never had an emergency situation but I am sure they will get ahold of you if they need to....in the nursery you get a portable phone...with AO you don't get anything...I haven't used AO with my youngest b/c he just turned 3 since our last cruise and was just potty trained so can't help there but older kids no issue...you just have to get them out before 10pm to not incur payment...my older two LOVE AO..its one of their favorite things about cruising!!
