Deck 3 Cabins on Anthem

Hi all

I know many people prefer the balcony cabins, but we weren't sure it would be worth it since we'll be sailing in colder weather for several days (Thanksgiving week). So we decided on ocean view cabins 3154, 3168 and 3178. Have any of you stayed in a cabin on deck 3 on Anthem, and have any feedback/experiences to share? Any pros, or will we feel like Jack Dawson in steerage? (being a bit dramatic here obviously)

Our TA suggested the interior cabins with the virtual balconies in order to be on a higher deck, but we were kinda 'eh' about those. If given a choice between oceanview or virtual balcony, which would you choose?

Thanks!

We have stayed on deck 3 a number of times and love it.    Very nice rooms and convenient to the casino, the music hall and a number of eating venues.  Definitely not steerage!

I too loved deck 3.  We went to casino and music hall and we found it very convenient to get to mdr options and elevators.

Very nice ov cabins.  We were first booked for interior with virtual on deck 9 but as soon as I saw ov on deck 3 opened up I switched.

I used to say I dont want to go any lower than deck 4 but we loved deck 3.

I stayed in an oceanview on Deck 3 to Canada 3 years ago.  IIRC it was room 3226.  It was right off the casino but couldn't hear any noise or smell any cigarette smoke, which was great.  The room was huge for an oceanview and it was very convenient to decks 4 and 5, where all the indoor excitement is.  The only downside was it was situated below Boleros, and we could hear the band through the ceiling late at night.
