We want to be comfortable on our cruise but not make others uncomfortable either or be rude to our host by misunderstanding what is appropriate.

Sounds good!

Look for other people's pictures from Viking cruises  to the Caribbean and just look at what people are wearing. Check out signature files in the roll calls that have already sailed at the about the same time you are planning on sailing; some people share links to their photos in their sig files. Viking Star was the first ship to do cruises to the Caribbean.

Check out the GALLERY tab at the top of this page for similar.

Clean athletic clothes is what I and others wear

Us too, on all of our warm cruises on all luxury/premium lines.  But please, no sleeveless shirts or tank tops.  All men, regardless of how fit, should never wear sleeveless shirts or tank tops in public anywhere, anytime...even poolside.  Just don't!

Poolside and at the gym are perfectly acceptable.

Otherwise, no.

That's where you sweat the most, so you are wrong, IMO.  Never acceptable, IMO.😁💪

Plus, the problem with poolside is they then go to the World Café and that is a big NO.

Just wear sleeves for all of the people around you.

Darling, this isn't Cunard...  A tank top isn't going to give British people the vapors.

And some of us have had a proper amount of Botox and don't sweat that much.

Mini Frig restock

Our Min- Frig Steward requested we leave a written list in the frig with the types of soft drinks we wanted.

Yes there is one person, not your cabin steward;  that will check and replenish items in the mini-frig each day. We also would pick up some extra bottles when returning from excursions of water to keep in our mini-frig.

Viking Research

Before Viking began their China river tours, Viking management sent Sales staff, Regional and State, and other personnel on China river tours.  Each person had to submit reports on what guest liked and disliked about the cruise they were on. Viking was the first line in China to have mechanical dishwashers, NO WASHING DISHES or GLASSES by hand.
