Small plates of appetizers in the Lido- are they gone

Usually at dinner, at the end by the drink section, small pretty plates of apps, like prosciutto and melon, different salads like orzo with olives, Dolmadakia , a garnished plate of meats and cheeses, etc. On our last cruise, there were just bowls or trays of whatever. I missed the pretty small plates.

We noticed that too on the Oosterdam two weeks ago.  In the past sometimes  if we were eating late in the MDR, we would take a couple of small plates back to the cabin and enjoy them on the veranda with a glass of wine.

It probably saves washing all those dishes and the time plating up the food.

I have always wondered about all those plates at the end of the evening close to closing what they do with all the appetizers! Sometimes we are not very hungry and  will go browse the appetizers and get a glass of wine and enjoy sitting outside. 
Maybe they feel it is a cost saver for them and not waisting food!🤷‍♀️

My Mom loved those little plates.  I used to grab those plates at the Lido lunch.  I transferred to a mini plastic container or ziploc bags and put them in the fridge. We had the meat, cheese, and olives as appetizers before dinner. A coffee cup works as a bowl.  Not the same presentation, but easy to carry.

We had them on the Rotterdam in Oct/Nov

They were still on the Amsterdam for the Tales of the South Pacific cruise. We disembarked yesterday.
