dgakapluto Posted January 4, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2020 Hi- does the Bliss have life jackets for kids use in the pool?
Rare mking8288 Posted January 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2020 Short answer, no. BYO if they are going to play in the appropriate pool for their age, and a friendly advice ... under your supervision or those with delegated authority. mjkacmom Posted January 4, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2020 I thought NCL added life jackets and lifeguards at the pools.

Those floatation devices are for maritime safety use, AFAIK and not intended for use by kids/children in the pool. I stand corrected but I did not see young ones wearing them in the kiddie pool last month on the Gem - around 500 souls sailing with adults on our sailing. They are secured in lockers up on the open deck as well as promenande deck near the muster/assembly stations. Of course, I could be mistaken in understanding OP's question. I really thought I read here on CC that NCL added them to the pool deck (for recreation,, not tbe emergency ones).
hladygirl Posted January 4, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 4, 2020 My last 2 cruises on NCL there was a lifeguard and life vests next to the larger pool. Life jackets were in all sizes toddler to adult.

The question was clear to me. Your answers are both incorrect. Per multiple reports, there are life vests for kids’ use at the pools on the mega ships. Your extraneous comments were distracting and unnecessary. Edited January 4, 2020 by Two_UW_Badgers
Rare BirdTravels Posted January 4, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 4, 2020 I can not answer specifically for the Bliss. But the Encore has kids life jackets and lifeguards at the pool.
hallux Posted January 4, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 4, 2020 I just checked my pictures form the Bliss - there are recreational life jackets near the kid's pool. It doesn't appear to be nearly the selection they have on the Encore, but there were some in April.
Mom2kmo Posted January 4, 2020 #10 Share Posted January 4, 2020 To be safe, I’d pack my own for my kids. They probably have a limited number and if it’s like the chair hogs, you won’t be able to get one later in the day.
