Rare pierces Posted March 9, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2020 Pictures taken between Monday, March 9 and Sunday, March 15. Rules: See above That's it. This isn't a contest. All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising). Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize. The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays. Post one. Post many. Up to you. Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others! Docker123 Posted March 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2020 Wednesday evening stroll down to the dock and try out my little 10-20mm wide angle on the James Craig. Long exposures make the flags all blurry.

Rare pierces Posted March 16, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted March 16, 2020 (edited) For several years we have been talking about preserving all of the old favorite family recipes. Many of these exist only in our collective heads and some of those heads aren't, shall we say, as efficient at retaining recipes as they once were. At first, we were just storing them as documents to be printed as needed but that became an idea to produce an illustrated family recipe book. This year we actually started the long process of making every recipe we listed, photographing the process and further documenting the step-by-step procedures. In this week’s picture, you see a step in the process of making my favorite breakfast shortcut; Egg Bites. We have identified about thirty-five recipes to include in the book, so this project will be with us for a while. Rare puppycanducruise Posted March 16, 2020 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2020 Love those tall ship pictures. Thank you. Great idea about a Family Cookbook with old family favourites. Save those recipes before they get forgotten.

Here's the recipe in case the text is too small on the full page: 🙂 Dave Edited March 16, 2020 by pierces

zackiedawg Posted March 19, 2020 #12 Share Posted March 19, 2020 Well finally got around to sorting my weekend wildlife shots again - so here are some from this past Saturday: Six-spotted fishing spider (that sounds awfully scary! And it looks it too): Green iguana closeup: Glossy ibis in flight: Snowy egret flying past - normally, they have yellow feet and yellow at the base of the bill, but during mating season, those sections turn a deep orange to blood orange color: Yes - if you stand in the wrong spot or don't pay attention when walking, the wood storks CAN and sometimes DO hit your head, with their wingtips or sometimes with the branches they're carrying back to their nests. As you can see, they fly awfully low, definitely at or below the head level of people walking on the boardwalk: Shooting directly into the sun, I liked the diffuse backlight and glare effect of this great blue heron flying low: A male boat-tailed grackle showing off his iridescence:
