NCLJoy Aft Balcony Help

Recommended Posts

We have had Aft balconies on Encore which should be same design.  Aft views are great!

Deck 9 should be a deeper balcony.   Deck 13 would be more centrally located to those who want to go up to pool deck and Observation Lounge, or down to Decks 6/7/8 where other venues are located.    Also Deck 13 might be considered a better view as Deck 9 is directly above a covered walkway on Deck 8.

We had an aft balcony on the Joy on Deck 12 last year. Deck 9 is over restaurants so may have some noise, while Deck 13 has cabins above and below. The elevators are often crowded so we used the stairway most of the time  Take a look at the distance to activities from the cabin and decide which is most convenient, eg swimming closer from Deck 13. Aft cabins have an excellent view and we enjoyed the Joy.

For us, bigger is not necessarily better. It is location location location. So, we would pick Deck 13. A little more distant from the azipod churn. A little more distant from the aft walkway which circles the back of the ship on Deck 8. A little better view.
