With the Captain and Hugo leaving and Tony going on our sail day, WHO WILL be on board besides the Crazy Cruisers? Any word on the replacements for these fine gentlemen?

Be sure to leave something in the casino for me. Pepper and the posse are on the way. Tell them to look for us on the 5th. You should have a CC banner or flag that can be passed on to the next group. What we need is continuity...of enthusiasm, joy and spirit. As always....

Safe home. EileenN

Dateline – 12:45 pm off the NC coast – speed 26.9 knots

Well we finally reached the rain – it was warm this am with sea temperatures at 72 F. Since we reached the Gulf Stream we were able to pick up about 3 knots from the current.

Not sure what I posted live last night…..lol

Not looking forward to returning to NYC but we have to get the ship back for Pepper’s Posse.

After last week the Captain is make no predictions as to our docking time. We are 420 miles out of NYC at current speed we should be in on time. My guess around 8:30. Disembarkation starting around 10:15. We meet in Aqua at 10 with Alex.

The tips are done – Putu Abadi the butler would not accept a tip. He felt he had not done enough. I actually had to follow him out of the cabin and down the hall and stuff it in his pocket. I said bring me some lunch (steal sandwich) and keep the $.

Worst joke of the night – Ricky the CD at the farewell show – “How did you all like the chocolate buffet. Great wasn’t it. I stay away from there. Last time I went one of the passengers tried to eat me”

I hope the next group doesn’t face the 4-6 hour special time at pier 88 and I hope my car starts.

You know somewhere on the ship for CC members to sign and write a note, etc. Something that basically says "yes I was here" yada yada yada.

I know they exist on other ships. :p

Cheers,

Norman

No secret book - A number of us tried to place several in 2004 and they all went poof like bad threads here. :D

Shoreguy... thanks for posting again, and I'm glad you're enjoying the cruise.

How are the poolside bbq's? How was the weather today, and is it expected to be cold all day tomorrow? Has any of the entertainment or food stood out? Also, are there towel animals and has the chocolate buffet occurred yet?

Thanks!

-Matt

bbq - same as always - no ribs - chicken, dogs, burgers - the even had them the first sea day with the crew in winter jackets.

Towel Animals every night - YMMV - my monkey is still handing in the bedroom.

The chocate buffet was yesterday - a zoo as always - We were headed to Blue Lagoon a 2pm for lunch and ran head on into the munching madness. Everytable in Blue Lagoon was covered with plates of brown sugar food firmly in the grasp of apparently very hungry passengers.

Off to Topsiders for a burger

There was one there in the library during our 1/25/04 cruise. Our group signed it and we also signed and placed a Bon Voyage card in it for the 02/02/04 group. It was there next to the computer on the desk. I recall swoosh’s name in it. Both AW and I checked the morning we disembarked the ship.

Since everyone found this place via a computer, perhaps we need a high tech alternative. No problems with *poof* unless it gets abused but at least the abusers will be dealt with one on one.

I'll add this to the (long) list of things that need to be worked on and "that's that" as we say. :)

Enjoy the final sea day. It (the pile of bricks) doesn't really show up on the radar until tonight when you start packing bags. Car/truck should be fine back at the docks unless you have a chronic battery problem. Temps have not been cold at all.

Cheers,

Norman

Shore Guy.....What happen to the drunken girl from early in the cruise.....Enquiring minds want to know.

Engineer

Saw them both last evening - It seems their cabin is inside two doors down form 10506 - I exited the owners suite and bumped into them. Boy were we all surprised. According to those staying in the AA there was another load argument in the hall late last night - at least both are still onboard.

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who saw that. If it isn't a typo, no wonder it was such a small dish.

Nope, I bet we all saw it - just too stunned to reply for fear of what might happen. Didn't want it to disappear too quickly.

Too funny, that is for sure.

I do wonder if "He" will ever tell if it was a typo or a Freudian slip!

Shoreguy,

Enjoy your last day at sea! That's usually when I start to feel a little depressed.

As a veteran of the Dawn multiple times, did you enjoy this cruise as much as the other Dawn cruises? Am considering cruise #4 on the Dawn this July, and I keep wondering can it continue to be so great as the last cruises? The first 3 were terrific, some of my favorites. I would appreciate your comments.

Intrepid,

That's great. Congrats to you too! I didn't see you photo since I didn't know about it until Don mentioned it in this thread. I should explore the site a bit more than I do. Thanks.

I wonder also.... I did notice it and gave a chuckle.

The last night is always bittersweet for me... Still cruising and don't want to go to sleep. The trip home is too quick.

Right on time.

All good things must come to an end unfortunately. Have a safe trip back home. At least the weather is much better this time around. (In like a lion out like a lamb)

Cheers,

Norman

Real time tracking for the Dawn ?????
