Samstress Posted May 20, 2021 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2021 We have decided to add another segment to our originally booked cruise from London to Copenhagen. We are going to stay on the ship and do a return trip from Copenhagen thru the Baltics. We were unable to keep the same cabin for both legs of the journey. So what do we do with our luggage in this instance. I realize that we will have to pack everything up & switch cabins but is there a place where they will keep our luggage? Or will we have to deal with it being taken off the ship. This is the first time we've done back to back & I appreciate any and all advice! Happy sailing everyone. Rare All-ready2cruise Posted May 20, 2021 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2021 (edited) We did something similar a few years ago. We packed most of our stuff up, left our luggage in the first cabin. The stewards will come along and move your suitcases to the new cabin. They'll also take your clothes from the closet and move them to the new cabin. We had arranged a tour, so, we just left the ship after breakfast, having been given instructions on how and where to return to the ship. We didn't have to go to same embarkation line... they let us on the ship through a back door, so to speak. Happy sailing. casofilia Posted May 20, 2021 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2021 @Samstress Very easy; just as said in the previous answer. The two stewards will sort it out for you. You will get lots of information prior to arrival. One thing to make sure of is that you get a new room card. Use the old one to get off and then the new one to get back on, if you do a tour or even if you just go for a walk. You will get an "IN TRANSIT" sticker. Make sure you put it on when you want to re-board. Keep it on while going round the ship afterwards, it will stop the crew trying to help you!!! VBG. If you see people looking lost and you are wearing it then they will accept offers of help.
Samstress Posted May 20, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted May 20, 2021 Thanks for the responses! Given that the two cabins are right across from each other we may have an easier time of it! Now I can relax....
Middleager Posted May 21, 2021 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2021 I recently asked NCL as we are doing a b2b in Jan/2022. He said due to Covid cleaning protocol, the cabin needs to be emptied out. We have to pack everything up. We can leave the luggages out the night before and they'll be taken to be stored and taken to our cabin, whether it be the same one or a different one. What happened in the past when you can leave stuff in the cabin, no longer applies.
