I was at the AC last weekend.  It is very nice and new.  Breakfast at the AC was buffet.  Marriott had made to order, however, I went to Toojays for a great breakfast, across the street from First Watch which is always good, but crowded.

Oh my gosh.  Just noticed you are from Ebensburg.  I grew up in Johnstown.  My uncle taught at St. Francis.  Small world.😊

I’m looking for a beach hotel precruise. I think we’ve narrowed it to these 4.  Any recommendations related to Hotel Maren, The Conrad, Marriott on the beach or the Pelican? Thank you!

Wow! Small world indeed. My parents grew up in Johnstown, and I grew up in Jackson Township. Central Cambria class of ‘84. My sister-in-law has worked at St. Francis for years. What high school did you attend? Where do you live now?

My husband and I were Bishop McCort grads ( when you were a baby😄).

Lived all over the country, but ended up back in PA, close to Harrisburg.
 

To answer Lori-Ann, I stayed at the Marriott Harbor Beach for a week a couple years ago, and it was very nice, but not close to other restaurants or shopping.

The Sonesta on FLL Beach is WONDERFUL!  Fabulous location, all rooms oceanview, service is wonderful, numerous restaurants within an easy walk, and Galleria Mall within .7  miles.

The Conrad, The Marriott Harbor Beach, and The Pelican are all much superior to The Sonesta.  

 

I like them in the order that I posted.  You'd be much happier with The Conrad.
