Yes the booking confirmation shows the Retreat Promo and both the promo $800 OBC plus the $300 OBC for the Onboard future cruise booking.

We find it varies- sometimes because all perks included in celebrity, actually cheaper.  However with Royal, you can book a central park with or without a balcony, which is a real bargain. Depending upon the ship of course.

For some people perhaps, but for us not the case.   We have been on two Royal C. cruises and didn't purchase a single alcoholic beverage.   We enjoyed the Diamond free drinks that go until 8:30pm.   We average about four drinks per day and don't drink prior to happy hour.

 

We like Royal's entertainment and prefer its smaller ships (no mega ships for us).  We especially like transatlantics and Celebrity cancelled our Rome to Florida TA set for this month without a proper explanation.

We enjoy premium bottled water, fresh squeezed juice, specialty coffee and soda.  We also don’t drink many drinks

We have a Galapagos trip already scheduled for 2023 so we may not be shopping for another cruise for 2023.  However I am interested to see if a Panama Canal cruise will be scheduled for Christmas/New Years.  So we will see. 

 

Either way, it is nice to see excitement in the air returning to this forum.

I was poking around looking for TAs the other day and came across a Reflection TA out of Barcelona on Oct 19, 2023.  We already have a Sky Princess TA booked but we really like the Celebrity S class so we booked Reflection as well.  Both are good itineraries with Reflection having several ports on the front end and Sky having several on the back end.  We haven't been on Princess for years but unless Sky really knocks our socks off next month we'll probably cancel them and go with Reflection.

Depends on what you pick, of course.  But I was surprised that the Celebrity TA was nearly $900 less than Princess for similar cabins.
