Thank you! I dont usually like buffaloes but for some reason I've been drawn to it - most likely because there us almost nothing I usually 9lay onboard.

 

Of course its so popular its never been available but I'm going to stop in at some point while in coco cay should be less busy.

 

I have a rule against playing the 4 games in one machine but I may make an exception just to see if it will pay me 🙂

1500 is the number I was told by crew.  They also said there are usually less people on the 8 day cruise. More crew than guests last week.

Just wanted to let you all know they are now doing testing at Port Everglades.  I do work at the port and just sharing this information.   This is a last resort type of thing and you will be charged approx. $99 for an antigen test.  It did work out well for a number of cruisers yesterday.  It is at the opposite end of the embark terminal and you must wait there for your results.  Once you have your results, you may proceed to the embark terminal for check in.

Thanks that is good to know. I thought that was the case but I was at the mercy of the royal rep because I did not want to get there and be wrong and have to go back out into town.

Lunch today was at coastal kitchen.

 

For my starter I ordered the mozzarella sticks.

 

 

For my main I got the crab crusted flounder.

 

 

That was probably one of the best things I have eaten in my entire life. It was small and it took a lot to resist ordering a second. So so good.

 

For dessert I got the white chocolate mousse.

CC is being a real pain today. Let's try posting this again.

 

After lunch it was about 1:15 so we made our way into port. 

 

 

We took the tram around the island to see what it looked like. We ended up at the beach by the floating cabanas.

 

The beach was very gross if I'm being honest. It was slimy on the bottom and had lots of birds flying around and lots of floaties that I don't want to think about too much.

 

M was thankful she did not purchase a cabana they were not very impressive in person. Marketing does a great job making them look cool. All but maybe 3 or 4 were not being used, and the onboard price was $1300. No thank you. They were $800 in the planner.

 

We had an OK day, I think the pool and amenities are the selling points of coco day. The beach was not good. If you just want to sit out on a beach it's fine. I'm still glad I made it out and it wasn't too too hot today. The water I would even say was cold.

My last 5 cruises have been Bahamas runs. We are now heading towards Mexico. We pulled out while I was fighting with CC and I didn't even notice.

 

I'm going to head to the casino.

 

Dinner tonight is at 6:30 at wonderland.

I was in the same area before going to the pool bar. The bottom there has always been mucky. It's gross and I just try not to touch it. The floaties you were seeing is sargassum weed. Now if you were seeing some other type of floaties then I'm not sure I would want to know. 🥴

Yea a lot of sargassum and then what looked like bird ummmm waste. But in very large quantities so I'm not even sure that's what it was. Just not ideal to swim in lol. 

 

One thing I forgot to mention were the fish. There were a lot of fish and they did not swim away from us. It was a little freaky at first because they were swarming us but it was kinda cool.

Liquid lobster. 

 

 

We chose our mains. I got the halibut cooked in clear paper.

 

 

For dessert they brought us the world and the forbidden apple.

 

 

 

Dinner was very good and I left full. I was worried it would not be filling based on reviews. I would probably not do it again at full price but on a dining plan I would definitely return.

 

We did cancel our chops + 1. Nothing there will live up to coastal kitchen so we just did wonderland since it was a new experience for us.

Heading back to the casino for a bit. Didn’t do great earlier. Not terrible either at least. They brought M a free interior certificate already. Needless to say she is not doing good at all.

It was! The waiter said they have 4 lunch menus and then they start over which should mean this menu will repeat on day 6. I'm going to order this again for sure maybe twice.

Not a great night in the casino. With yesterday I'm still doing okay but tomorrow I need my luck to turn around or this could start getting ugly.

 

I'm back in the room. I'm going to chill out with some TV then turn in for the night. Hoping to get caught up on some sleep with tomorrow being a sea day. I'm exhausted 😴

Good morning everyone. I think I am going to let M sleep while I make a Windjammer run for a little breakfast.

 

I had a delivery of cookies and three waters yesterday with no note. I don't know what they were for but those cookies made a great late night snack 😋

Yes I've been living like a retired person lol. Next weekend will be my first weekend not on a cruise since August. Its been fun but exhausting when you do have a job to get to during the week lol.

 

Love the 3 day cruises but yea they are very fast, you blink and its over.

We're sailing near Cuba this morning.

 

 

 

I had just a small plate for breakfast again. I thought about 270 they have breakfast also and so does the solarium. A lot of choices for breakfast for sure. 

 

M is up and we are going to do coastal kitchen for lunch now and then probably get into some trivia and/or bingo.

Lunch was good overall.

 

I got a truffle risotto to start which was absolutely amazing.

 

 

For my main I ordered the steak frites. 

 

 

This was the one miss. It was too tough and I couldn't eat it. With M's fries I had enough food I didn't order anything else. 

 

For dessert I got the chocolate pot de creme and the floating island.

 

 

 

The floating island was not great but the lit de creme was super good.

 

Like I said, overall I was still very happy with lunch.
