DaveOKC Posted October 18, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted October 18, 2021 Based on the above links, it appears that with a 50% Mariner discount the average bottle price including gratutity charge is around $20. Not a bad deal IMO and certainly not worth bringing wine onboard and paying the $20 corkage fee.

You could buy a medium to good wine, pay the corkage and still be coming out ahead of the wines offered onboard.

We order the wine package but bring wines on that we can’t find on the ship to enjoy. it’s worth the $20 to us. There are so many great wines in Europe that we will never see here. It’s always an adventure shopping and deciding 😉

Some folks only consider the cost and often forget that other folks enjoy wine and are prepared to pay for it. It always amazes me that some people think nothing of spending huge amounts of money for a piece of meat, wagyu for example, and then order average wine to go with it or think people who order expensive wine are wasting their money.
