Reykjavik accommodations?

You'll be within a short walk of tour pickup anywhere in the 101 post code.  You can easily search by price on any search engine.  I still don't know what your budget is, so a place I know someone stayed at successfully for $100/night might not fit your needs.

How about listing price?

Not sure what "A Popular Place" means, either, and how that fits into the formula?

The cruise port is rather remote and in an industrial area. We stayed at the Skuggi Hotel by Keahotels which was then a short cab ride (7 minutes or so) to where the ships dock. Using the Hallgrimskirkja (the landmark church) for reference, it is an 8 minute walk and east of the City Center on Hverhisgate. We spent a wonderful afternoon on our arrival day walking the City Center area.

One thing to know is that the airport bus does not enter the City Center. It only travels to an outlying bus terminal where you then transfer to a mini-bus. This then stops at designated stops in the City Center. Some streets are closed to vehicle traffic so choose a hotel that is accessible to avoid long wals with your luggage. We chose the Skuggi for the convenience for being around the corner from Bus Stop #9, and being walkable into the tourist area.

We sailed on a week-long circumnavigation cruise this past Summer, and then spent a week in the Westfjords and Snaefellsnes Peninsula by rental car.

Are you flying in using IcelandAir? They also own hotels, and offer deals for flight and hotel when booked together (or at least they used to.)

This was the one we stayed at when we went to Reykjavik.

Icelandair Hotel Reykjavík Natura (google.com)

One day when we got back late from an afternoon tour and needed to get going soon to make it to our Northern Lights Tour, they were very good at getting us dinner in their restaurant quickly. They were also very helpful at recommending local attractions.

I don't have any idea how far it is from the cruise port, but it was very convenient to the city and the bus terminals.
