Good MORNING EVERYONE!

Yes i know it’s 8 PM where I life… that IS my morning!

 

I AM BACK!!! Told you I would cruise again fairly soon… that it’s THAT soon surprised even me… but after my boss FINALY got that I am DONE… well… he had the choice… send me on vacation (and pay for it…) or I quit…(and he pays for that as well…)

He GLADLY send me on Vacation and just told me to use the company card to pay. Thank you boss! Invoice is in your Emails! I AM OUT OF HERE!

Since my boss paid and didn’t give a dime for WHAT he paid I splurged… and am booked on the Seaside again cruising the Meditaranian. Except…! This time I start from Marseille… and I am in a Yacht Club Cabin!... what kind? TOO BE CONTINUED!...

Let’s start with what happened…

 

After returning from my last cruise and going back to work, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been… on my first day back at work I found out that the hotel I work at was just SLIGHTLY singed but the firefighters where fast enough to get the fire under control BEFORE it burned the house down completely… (What the kitchen wanted to FRY for breakfast still remains a mystery though… the chefs all give the fault to each other… like always…)

So what did i do since I am back? Get the kitchen renovated, organize breakfast to be delivered from our partner hotel around the corner, get the two guest rooms that where ruined from the water renovated, since the entire WORLD seems to be travel MAD now that restrictions are a bit lessening… I am rotating on my spot trying to handle the onslaught of bookings we all of a sudden get… we went from 40 rooms booked to 408!!! Rooms booked a DAY in less then 12 hours… and that is holding now for almost 3 weeks… I hold my bosses hand because he is short before a mental breakdown… and yell at him that it’s not MY problem because I wasn’t even there when the kitchen burned down… maybe that’s why he practically threw the Credit card at me and told me to book a freaking vacation as soon as possible… maybe HE needs a vacation from me?... Hmmm…

 

So a bit over 2 weeks ago I finally found a minute between my own mental breakdown for doing a job that isn’t mine and simultaneously checking in a few guests… (and yelling through the entire Lobby at the people coming in to ‘PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASKS, IT’S MANDATORY IF YOU ARE INSIDE’ or ‘PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK OVER MOUTH AND NOSE AND NOT JUST AS A CHIN HOLDER! I KNOW THE HOTEL IS AWESOME BUT YOUR JAW WON’T DROP TO THE FLOOR. DON’T WORRY!’) I looked for cruises… what else…

 

Found a nice cruise on the Meraviglia… Balcony… price is okay… still need to bully the drinks packacke out of my boss… then I looked a bit further… hmm… Seaside… just came off of the Seaside… YC interior suite under 1000 bucks… BOOKED!

 

So I happily went, selected my cabin, ripped the credit card out of my bosses pocket, hacked in my information, yelled at some more people that came through the door without their masks in their faces, had a red bull, printed my E-docs since I already had to pay full and got them send… booked my flight to Marseille… had to confess to my boss that I would go a day earlier or I would miss the Ship, booked my hotel for a night… and then forgot about it for a few days…

Then I had two days off… and wanted to look into my booking… by then it was Halloween… mind I booked a few days BEFORE that… and low and behold: MY CABIN WAS GONE!!!

 

THE HECK??? DID I BOOK GUARANTEE AND DIDN’T GET IT???

 

Nope I haven’t! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?

 

Thanks to my beloved fellow cruisers here in CC I found out about the strange Cabin wipeout of MSC… looks like I fell victim to that too… despite being just a WEEK out from Embarkation day…

 

I tried… I REALLY tried to hold out… but 4 days away from embarkation the nervousness won and I called MSC… the Rep I talked to was very nice and tried her best… after about 30 minutes she was able to lock a cabin in my booking… 18033 YC interior handicap… NOT COMPLAINING! 4 square meters MORE for me to make a mass and produce total chaos!

 

As I have said in a different post here on CC I would just sleep in the Champagne bar…

 

The parting words of the rep were though that it could be that I lose the cabin again and get a new one reassigned at the port… well… as of today in the MSC for me app it’s not showing a Cabin! So I don’t know IF I still have a cabin or not… I will ask at the pier…

 

Now I am a bit less than 24 hours away from boarding my plane, haven’t packed my luggage yet, have to work tonight for a last time and then I will be OUT OF HERE!

 

What will be in this review?

 

LOT’S OF FOOD! I am a gigantic foody! Like seriously! I love to eat… hence why I am overweight… maintaining that is HARD WORK!!!...

Other than that? No clue so far! I will enjoy the Yacht Club as it’s the first time for me.

 

Tomorrow, as soon as I am off shift at 7:30 in the freaking morning, I will RACE home to pack my luggage (Memo to myself: PANTS!!!!) jump on it till it freaking closes… go panic shopping for things I MIGHT need… jam THAT into my luggage… and then race to the worst airport in the world to board my plane to France… (just took us 13 YEARS to build BER Airport the worst way possible…)

 

This time I hadn’t had time to prepare a lot of paper for my Origami roses but I will still bring the paper as they where a real hit with the crew!

For tip I will bring LAST years polymer coins this time  as I have given out the coins from THIS year on the last cruise… and then had to send some more with my Grandparents two weeks later and some of the crew had asked if they could have one too… my grandparents got so pampered by the crew for bringing them on board that I worried they would never leave the ship again for a moment…

 

Don’t know what else to say at the moment and have to dart now or I will be late for my last shift other than…

 

MAMMA MIA! HERE I GO AGAIN! Hope to see a few people tagging along for the ride again!

Can’t wait to hear how you are liking the YC.  When you board the ship take your time have a glass of bubbly while you are waiting to be escorted onboard.

Griass di! Very nice that I can follow along again. I have to admit- I did not have the time to write a review of my own experience with MSC´s YC last month, also didn´t do a " Live from"! Shame on me!

No worries- I don´t wanna hijack your report with mine.

Let´s just say- you will love YC I am quite sure of it! I enjoyed every minute on board. My first time with MSC YC - so I  can only compare to Cunard or Celebrity.

Right from the beginning your are treated almost as royal- you pass by all passengers standing in line and are on board - including the test- in a heartbeat!

Will I repeat my MSC experience- yes- BUT ONLY in YC or at the very least Aurea- as you did last time- if i got that right?

Oh - if you have the chance - please say greetings at Concierce Desk- from Michael- the guy with " 3 devices problem"! Two devices are free of charge ( internet) I wanted to download a book on my kindle so I tried to get my tablet off and my kindle on... did not work- got excellent help from the Concierge. The bent over backwards to be helpfull and are very very kind. So what ever happens darling- don´t yell at them- okay!

Now I have to go last minute panik shopping and then will TRY to SOMEHOW pack my luggage and STAY under the weight restriction for my flight… fingers crossed…

i am SOOOO looking forward to it! i actually can't say in which cabin i am... i have 3 sets of Edoc's that all state a different cabin... and the app is still showing no cabin at all... it says G00000 by Cabin... i am so going to pack a tent and a sleepingbag... if all things fail i will really sleep in the Champagne bar...

I sure hope i will love it... so far i am not... 😂... there are quite a few confussing problems with my Cabin... or not since i don't seem to HAVE a cabin... will find out at the pier what is going on.

 

On the picture with the Teapot i was like... what the heck is that on the dish? Motoroil??? then i realized it's olive slices... i faceplanted right in front of my collegues and though 'how freaking blind am i???' 😂🤣😂

 

I will make sure to pass on your greetings to them! That i can promis!

What i can't promis is that i will behave... don't know yet if there is the NEED to yell at someone at some point... all i can say is...

droping my luggage off just took 1 hour and 45 minutes! Boarding started 20 minutes ago! Jesus! I was here 2 hours earlier and still am late!!!!!

 

at least I am not the only one…

 

i am off to Munich for now! Will try to give a sign of life from there but can’t promise… I have 45 minutes to run to the next flight!

Good Morning my lovelys!

 

I have EXTREME problems logging in. i will do my best to post updates but can't promis.

 

I did make it to Marsaille at 10:40 PM yesterday! Getting my luggage took just 2 hours... longer than the flight from Munich to Marseille...

 

I FINALY checked in at 1 AM and then was more dead then alive...

 

At 7 AM my alarm rang and i almost drowned myself in the shower because i am still soooo tired...

 

Now i am repacking my luggage and then will take an Uber to Port! YYYYAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!

Top Sail Lounge + Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne is the best combo you can dream of. 

And the waiters in the Top Sail Lounge (a Brazilian woman, an Ukrainian guy and an Indonesian woman are so kind!! Unfortunately I don't remember their names...).

Problems resolved! I DON‘T need to sleep in the bar! I got UPGRADED! YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!

they tried to give me 4 different cabin numbers and not a single one of them stuck!!! They where standing there scratching their heads just as puzzled as I did… in the end they just simply used a trick I suggested and IT WORKED 😂🤣😂🤣😂

 

i am cruising now WITH MYSELF 😂🤣😂🤣😂 apparently the system doesn’t like Solo cruisers. After just submitting myself as accompanying guest the cabin number stayed in and so far still is… fingers crossed!!!

 

i am now in 18025… UPGRADE FROM INSIDE TO DELUXE FOR FREE!!!!

And my drinks package is now upgraded too…

 

NOW I AM ON FREAKING VACATION!!!

the Fennel risotto. Good but… a little bit tooooo liquid. Should have been creamier… so far the once from the MDR were better but hey… YC still has a few days to proof itself.

The Chioppino. That was REALLY good!
