I don't want to, but I would feel weird going alone!

I would call them check into pushing it back. Maybe you can get that done with a small fee or no fee.

With Royal you still have to re-book by Spring and still have to sail next year or you lose everything. Yes, their rules are clearly stated. I was fine with them. "Cruise with confidence" has been extended before. With covid still putting a wrench in just about everything, I expect it to be extended again. If I don't feel comfortable with my March cruise, I need to reschedule by the end of May and can cruise a year out. I don't want to get out of my cruise, just push it out and hope that covid is less of a pain. It is a version of the popular RCCL and Celebrity "lift and shift" policy. I am actually beginning to think that cruise date planning may be a useful strategy. Cruising a few weeks after the holidays may be a dumb idea. Cases are bound to spike after everyone travels and gets together.

Dunk Posted December 20, 2021 #130 Share Posted December 20, 2021 I only see "sip and cover" in the casino section of the protocols. Otherwise, it says "All guests, ages two and above, are requested to wear masks at all times when indoors, except when eating or drinking or when in their own staterooms and when outdoors if in large gatherings and physical distancing cannot be maintained." I'm not sure if they are giving full refunds. I'm not sure if they are giving FCC for a future cruise booking. I know of two people on my Dec 26th roll call who have switched their cruise to later next year. Thanks! I'll give Carnival a call this week and keep my fingers crossed that I can move my cruise to a later date.
elgancho Posted December 20, 2021 #132 Share Posted December 20, 2021 I just got back from a 7 day cruise this morning. The sky is not falling lol. The rules are hardly any different. The crew very rarely moves their mask to talk to someone (hard of hearing for example). The passengers did whatever they wanted. Elevators seemed to be emphasized regarding masks but at no point did anyone ask me to put a mask on lol. Enjoy your cruise(s).

I'm hoping to enjoy my March cruise and really hope this new omicron variant has blown through by then. I am ONLY worried about testing positive with no symptoms and told we can't go! Health officials are saying this new variant is the most contagious so more people are going to be testing positive. We fly to the port city 2 days ahead so have to get the tests done there, ugh. We booked everything before the testing requirement for Vaccinated passengers so it throws a curve ball into the whole plan.
