Suzcruz57 Posted December 24, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2021 Has anyone not gotten their negative covid results in time to board your ship, and been tested at the port? I think this holiday 2 day travel has produced many challenges. Hollands web site said if we produce proof that testing was done but results not available, they will test us at the port for free. rodndonna Posted December 24, 2021 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2021 Assuming they use the same company for embarkation and disembarkation Covid tests, I will say we used them disembarking on Dec 15. They state up to 2 hours with 1 hour being typical. Our results were a shade under 1 hour.

Can you provide a link for this info? We are sailing on January 12th (Ft Lauderdale) and have reservations for PCR testing at a local Florida CVS on January 10th.
Rare Crew News Posted December 29, 2021 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2021 I am staying at the Embassy Suites on 17th Street and used Lab Doctor one block away for rapid antigen test for cruise tomorrow. Cost was $49 and only walk-ins accepted. Pick up a form on a clipboard from the cart outside the front door and take a seat on the row of chairs outside. Wait was 10 minutes to be celled, move from chair to chair until you are next in line, 5 minutes for the test, and printed results in hand 20 minutes later. Easy Peasy. The lawn-type chairs on the sidewalk outside the store were not sanitized after each of us moved to the next chair. HollDoll Posted December 30, 2021 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2021 As of November 24 when we boarded what the OP said was true, We had proof on our phones that we had been tested however did not receive the results back in time. Holland America tested us for free at the pier. If we had not had the proof of being tested, they would’ve charged us $100 per person for the test. That was the case then. Suzcruz57 Posted January 6, 2022 Author #8 Share Posted January 6, 2022 Turned out husband got his negative PCR results in time to board but I did not. I showed them proof of testing for me. Easy Peezy. Swabed my nostrils and 15 minutes, done.
