Sky Princess Sky Suite benefits?

That’s great that one of your party won a cruise. Did get $250 on our 2022 cruise, but nothing, not even an entry into the draw on our 2023 cruise. Guess we didn’t leave the Sky Suite enough when we were at sea!

The disembarkation perk was one of my favorite perks of all.
We did not put our bags outside the night before. Instead Ivan came and picked them up at 6:30 am on disembarkation day. We had a nice relaxing breakfast in Sabatini’s then waited in the Sky Suite until Ivan came to escort us down around 8:15.

We had a dedicated elevator, a special immigration clerk with no line, a dedicated porter with all our luggage already loaded and he walked us behind the scenes where no other passengers could be to the street. It was seriously such a no stress way to end the cruise.

Was any reason given why there was no hot tub on these amazing balconies?

We were considering one (special birthday treat) but the lack of a small hot tub was a deal breaker.

I assume stability but hoping some expert here could shed some light!

Absolutely not an expert, and we thought they had missed a trick too, but all we could guess was that there is one just outside each suite on the deck. Not private obviously. It can’t be stability (if I’ve understood your meaning) as MSC Royal suite has the most fabulous one on the balcony. As I say, I think they made a big mistake.
One thing which is good, if it’s still the case, is the forward Retreat pool is pretty tricky to find and as a result doesn’t tend to get very busy. I had a few lone swims in there (it’s down some stairs just outside the suite). The friends we travelled with were in the other Sky Suite and they used the hot tub outside their suite every night, I don’t think anyone else was around.

Agree that there should have been a private hot tub.  Easily enough space if they lost the big round sunbed and put it there. We also used the hot tub just outside the door in the upper retreat area, several times. Useful to be able to get straight back on to the balcony through the special door. It’s still an amazing Suite though.

Quick question to those who have sailed in sky suite before. We spoke with Thor several days ago. We gave him our dining requests (specialty, balcony, 360). Just checked my app and it doesn't reflect any of our requests. Did you see dining you had requested with the shoreside concierge?

Not always.  Thor makes arrangements directly with restaurant managers on board. I received an email with our 360 reservation but the specialties, balcony meals were not on my ap.

Once Ivan (the onboard suite experience manager) contacted me a couple of weeks before sailing I gave him a list with all the details regarding the arrangements that were supposed to be made so he could reconfirm.   I sent him a spread sheet and he said he appreciated it. Ivan has moved on to the Sun so I’m not sure who’s the SEM on Sky right now. But I suggest giving them everything in writing.  They are very organized but very busy people and paper trails (text thru WhatsApp) really help them.

You will not be disappointed.  The sky suite guests are taken care of in the best way.

I absolutely loved that day bed. And I loved being able to move it around to keep the shade. I am so glad there’s no hot tub!  We wouldn’t have been able to pull off the UBD for 12 that was so special if there was a tub.

Trying to find any comments about new Sky Suites on Sun Princess - and how they compare to Enchanted Princess Sky Suites.  There has not been much posted.

Would love to hear from anyone who has actually sailed in one.

Many thanks!

We haven’t sailed in one on Sun Princess yet, but I’m in touch with the Suite Experience Manager on board Sun Princess. He said that although those Sky Suites don’t have the fabulous balcony of the other ships, they have their own area of the Sanctuary instead. I can try to find out more if you like?

I’ve just messaged him. I misunderstood. They simply have complimentary access to the Sanctuary. I told him Princess should offer a reserved cabana to Aky Suite guests on Sun to make up for the massively reduced balcony space. They do this on MSC YC for the Royal Suites, even though they also have a fantastic balcony as well. 😃

Any actual reports by people staying in or who have stayed in one seem to be totally missing from the Boards. We stayed in one on the Enchanted a few years ago but this one is a bit different. The balcony on the Sky Suite on Enchanted was pretty terrific.

Exactly. I refrained from posting overnight as I knew you were interested in someone who has actually stayed in one of the suites. But as no one seemed to be responding I thought my little snippet of info might help a little.
Tbh, I don’t think I’d book these suites on Sun as the fabulous balcony on the other ships makes it for me. Especially in warm weather.
But I’m also very interested in feedback from others who have stayed in one. 😃
