First Upsell Offer …

Hi,

Well, I got my very first phone call for an upsell. We cruise in about a month on the Panorama.  I had booked our normal Balcony on Deck 7.   Booked that back in March 2020 … so part of Covid Rebooking …

I went ahead and took the offer for a Havana Premium Corner Aft for $500 total (Deck 8, Starboard side — the side of the ship I book anyway).  We have twice stayed in an Aft Wrap and loved it!  Bonus with the Havana Access, which we wanted to book in the future.

 Very happy  😁😁

Congrats, seems like a good offer.  We always book casino offers.  Has anyone ever got an upsell call for a casino offer?

That's a good price for a Havana aft wrap.  Our friends had one on the Vista and they loved it.  And so did we when we visited them, which was often.  🙂

We just got an upsell from a midship extended balcony to an ocean suite for $288 (3 in the room).

Is this worth the price?

First time on carnival, elite on princess.

I'd say it's a good price since you have three in the room.  The suite will give you some extra room.

I booked it. I wouldn't have, but the kid (40) offered to pay for it. We had the extended balcony and chose midship vs aft due to balcony size.

3 in a room isn't terrible because of the sleeping couch.  But I'll love the jetted tub.

There's really no additional perks on carnival for a suite is there?  Princess cruiser here and used to massive suite perks.

Seems like all the suites on carnival are comparable with mini-suites on princess.

First timer, I'll see if we like it.

No indeed, I've cruised with two married friends of mine in a balcony, with me on the sleeping couch.  It has worked out, but a suite would have a bit more maneuvering room.

Nowhere near as much as on Princess or even Royal, but you should get priority embarkation even if no-one else does.   For my cruise last week there was a separate sign for Suite guests at embark...and only Suite guests.

Congrats!  I saw the Havana premium corner aft wrap open up for my cruise Sunday on Horizon, so I called my pvp and got it for $200 more - a bargain on top of the deal I got for my original balcony cabin.  I had an aft wrap on Freedom last month (first ever) and loved the balcony, as we spend a lot of time out there to get away from "the crowds."  I know with Carnival increasing capacity, and with prices going up that there is no way I will ever get an aft wrap again - especially in the Havana area.
