Contact Question

I am looking for help in knowing who to contact at RCL.  I have asthma and chronic bronchitis - not sick.  I have a concern I might be denied boarding if I have a bad coughing spell.  We have a cruise scheduled for May.  Who do I contact?

No one - just say no to all the health questions.  Take a cough suppressant while in the terminal.

The number of people coughing last week from Day 1 was higher than the number of people wearing a mask.

 

As covid goes down, the common colds go back up.

Nobody is going to question you coughing or sneezing.  Enjoy your trip.

Nobody seems to care if anyone is coughing anymore.   I would not raise any "red flags" and tell anyone about your medical condition unless you need special assistance then you can reach out to that dept. via email.

I sailed on Freedom in January. I had a lingering cough from bronchitis in December. I answered yes to the coughing question on the health question. I was allowed to board with no extra screening. Your mileage may vary, but that was my experience.

I would assume you won’t have a problem as long as you don’t have a fever when they take your temperature.

I have not seen any temperature taking at Cape Liberty on our current sailings.   I'm not sure it was even done when we cruised on Jan 9th out of NJ.

I remember Barbados and maybe St Maarten doing it  In Jan.

I would assume if you have asthma and chronic bronchitis you would likely have prescription meds or an inhaler for that,  If you are concerned about this and in a coughing spell at the time, if asked I would simply explain your condition and show your prescription meds to confirm.
