LIVE - Mariner of the Seas - May 28, 2022 Covid testing on-board for Bermuda!

Recommended Posts

11:25 - Bravo Bravo Bravo in the Carpenter Workshop (all teams dismissed)

11:26 - another call went out to deck 1 outside of some fire door but didn't hear a code with it.

We think they must be training.

I have noticed that we are in the minority of mask wearers.  I would say at best that 10% of passengers are wearing masks indoors on the ship.

There are a few shops in Nassau that are requiring masks so it is good to have them.

Based on past couple of cruises on Mariner the masking situation will increase by end of cruise...

We took the water taxi over to Paradise island.  Takes about 12 minutes and had a nice gentleman give some brief info about sights (works for tips).

We walked through Marina Village, picked up a Christmas ornament at the Plait Lady (did not see any straw water pitchers), and then walked through the Atlantis casino to the lobby.  We walked down to the front of the Dig aquarium and watched the first for a bit, then after some more walking we took a taxi back to the port.

We did Fromer's walking tour this morning.  As we were walking past the straw market, we heard one of the 4 ships evacuation tones go off.  Then after a bit of wandering, we reboarded to rest a bit and grab lunch.

Just before 11am as we are sitting in our stateroom, there was a Charlie Charlie Charlie call over the PA.

More to come - time for lunch.

You must’ve missed the announcement that they were doing crew drills all morning.  No problem on board.

Yep, that would do it.  We must have left before that announcement was made.

I honestly never thought I would see him -  the Stowaway Piano Player.  Also surprised he fits in the glass elevator.

We got a couple pictures of him during our May 15 cruise. He changed elevators during the week. We rode with him once (only about 3 people fit).

Internet connection runs from the ship to the pier and then broadcasts via the islands access points.  Just select the correct ship.

Speeds aren't any faster, but the connection is solid.

Oh Molly, so sorry. Hopefully mild to no symptoms and rapid recovery. Rebook when you can. Hugs.

It is high 70s today, toasty in the sun but nice in the shade.  Even with two ships here, it's not horrible.  We were a bit lucky to get chairs by the pool after lunch.

Following along I love these live or almost live reviews.  A couple of weeks ago I booked a 5 night cruise to Bermuda on Liberty OTS out of Cape Liberty. Have fun!

You will have a great time. Enjoy your cruise. Lots of fun things to do in Bermuda. Nice people.

Both Mariner and Harmony had their gangways pulled up just before the all-aboard time of 4:00pm.  We are now heading to Bermuda.

Day 1 Nassau and day 2 CocoCay are both casual nights.  Tomorrow is a Dress Your Best sea day.

But for tonight, we are going to see a production show of "Gallery of Dreams" after dinner.

Did they say if everyone has to be tested again before arriving in Bermuda?
