Royal Up question

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried the change the credit card entered, prior to being charged.
I haven’t found a way to even see which card is listed on the bid.
Haven’t found anyone at Royal who can access the info.

Just cancel the bid(s) and rebid with the card you want to use.

I thought if that but then worried it would drop me back in the queue.
I gave no clue what criteria they use.
But I’m going to do it rather than worry about the wrong card being chosen.
Thanks

Yes I actually had my bid accepted about 30 min AFTER  I had to cancel the card I had on file for the royal up.  Of course the day I get fraudulent charges my bid gets accepted!  why wouldn’t it!  lol  Anyway I had 2 emails from Royal when I got off the phone with Discover Card that my Royal Up had been accepted however the card on file had been declined.  There was a link to update the card.  I updated the card and crossed my fingers & ended up still getting the royal up.

I would change it to the card you want it - IMO it’s more about the amount of your bid/availability etc than what order your bid is in.

We got the bid for a Grand Suite (upgraded from a Jr. Suite). Question: Would we be paying extra in gratuities since "winning" this bid? I am not sure if we are to fork out more in gratuities now. No one has mentioned this; we have paid gratuities in advance as we always do.

Every time we have submitted a bid, the system asked for a credit card number before we were able to hit the agree button.

As far as we've seen on all of our bids, there is no "queue". We have cancelled and re-bid several times, and it doesn't appear to make any difference when we do that. In fact, most of our "wins" have been bids that were initially bid 30+ days out, then cancelled and then re-bid about 7 days before the cruise.

The extra $3/pp/per day will be added to your onboard account.
