CruiseWendy Posted July 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2022 Hello fellow cruisers! We are booked on Quantum August 15th and I’m in the midst of pre-planning what and when we’re going to book once onboard. For the NorthStar when do you recommend to book it? Port, sea, etc.

The same with Ripcord. No need to pay for either venue - the free version is plenty good enough. Edited July 16, 2022 by Biker19

lovescats5 Posted July 16, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 16, 2022 What are the Star Class options. We have heard we will be able to do the glacier over the side at no cost. Anyone know?

Rare BirdTravels Posted July 16, 2022 #11 Share Posted July 16, 2022 We were on the Quantum last month. Weather really affects the ability to operate the North Star. We booked a paid ride on the morning we were sailing into Icy Strait Point. Our logic was that it was in the fjord, not exposed to the open seas. But it was still too windy to operate. We were cancelled twice and finally gave up. (On prior cruises, we just went stand-by, we didn't bother trying after two cancelled rides).
