Things change.  Regular bookings made after June 2022 the Cruise only rate is not available on Aqua Class or Retreat.  This is when they eliminated the Elevate and Indulge packages as well.

Of course comp'ed BCC  bookings are a different animal and I believe rarely include perks.

unless this changes I will never book Aqua again

Is it $10 pp per day or $20 pp per day to upgrade to Aqua class?  or is the cost determined by A1 or A2?  I paid $20 pp to upgrade to A1

It may depend on the Blue Chip offer you received, the availability on the departure date AND the X person you speak to on the phone. When I first booked the free cruise for October, I was told that my offer didn't include that upgrade. When I changed our reservation to January, I asked for it and they charged me $10/day/pp to upgrade to AQ.

I was given the choice to upgrade for $20 a night. I did not take it but changed my mind 2 weeks later. Called back and was told that the blue chip quota of aqua class cabins was used up. He suggested I call back in a month to see if they released any more

This afternoon we booked Nov 26, 7 night with an A1 Sunset Veranda and Dec 3, 8 night A1 with the bigger angled balcony.  I specifically asked the lady for any perks she could add under the promotion.  She apologized that none were available but offered to waive the AQUA upgrade charges.  That saved us $300.  She only charged us $579 taxes/charges for the 15 night B2B.  I thanked her to the point of it being funny for both of us.  We'll gladly pay grats and drinks beyond the 2 hour Elite ones.

This is cheaper than buying groceries for two weeks!

The healthier options and portion size, or that perception 🙂 in Blu and being able to go to the Persian Garden anytime for the warm tile loungers or the front relaxation room are worth it to us.  The yoga mat in the cabin, while a nice thought, just ain't gonna happen for us!  LOL

I've just booked the offer and happily upgraded to Aqua.  Has anyone asked if an upgrade to Retreat is available?  I'm about to all them back and ask, but the wait times are LONG!!

I asked about an upgrade to the Retreat, and was told it was not available.

I asked about Retreat and it wasn’t an upgrade I could get. All they could do was offer a casino price, which was a 40% discount from what I could book at otherwise, but it did include all perks.

Unless you're a high roller at the Casino no but you can book a Casino offer of a deep discount (30-50% off) for suites which can be rather reasonable. Sometimes MoveUp is available or you could always try and upgrade on board.

For my cruise, the upgrade was $10 pp per day, for an A2 category.

Thank you, my cruise is in March.  I'm going to call tomorrow and ask about the $10 a day price.

I called and was advised it's $10 pp per day to move up from the category on your offer.  My offer was a regular balcony.  AQ is 2 categories up so $20.

The rep also did the math on a regular casino offer AQ vs this offer AQ with added extra (premium drink package, premium wiFI and tips) and the two prices were the same.

Are you traveling with multiple pax? I guess if you really need to buy premium drinks/wifi and tips for two passengers that adds up fast. When I'm on casino offers I take advantage of my $300 MGM onboard credit and the Elite Wifi Discount and book a Premium Non Alc package.

I called Blue Chip this morning inquiring about upgrading to Aqua Class.   I spoke with the most helpful representative, Angie.   She was great!  She answered all of my questions and was patient with my requests.

Angie said the cost to upgrade to AquaClass was $140pp for the week.  Unfortunately, BCC had no availability right now for the upgrade offer.   She told me she would call me back Friday if any availability opened up.  There are lots of Aqua class cabins available on my sailing, so we will see.

In the meantime, she was able to upgrade me to a large slant balcony cabin for no charge.

She also got me a 15% blue chip discount on the drink packages.   It was cheaper than booking the discounted rate on Celebrity's cruiseplanner.

Is upgrading to AquaClass worth it for Blu vs MDR?   Is BLU a crowded venue?

yes, I was told to try again in a month or 2

The representative told me she will call me on Friday and let me know if the offer is replenished.   Possibly you could call and ask a rep to add you to a waitlist for the offer.
