When will ability open to book specialty restaurants?

Hi.  We are booked on the Nieuw Statendam for 1/14/23.  We  have the Have it All promo.   As of today, we are still unable to reserve any specialty restaurants, or to schedule our dining times for the main dining room.

 

I just read in another post that someone is cruising in March, and they received an email saying that they could  now book their specialty dining with the have it all promo.

Have you checked on the website?  The app is not reliable until you are very close to the date

Yes I have checked on my laptop by logging in to hollandamerica.com.

We are on the 1/14/23 Rotterdam sailing and are also not yet able to book dining.  We are able to book shore excursions though …

I asked the same question last week, answers were a vague "before you sail". 

So I guess we just keep checking. 

I'm not going till Feb, so its at least good to know that not even January is ready.

in my pre-COVID cruise days, I found that the ability to book varied quite a bit.  For one cruise, I was able to book six months prior to sail date.  For another, I had to wait until three months prior to sail date.  For the most recent cruise, I was never able to book pre-cruise.  I had to book once onboard.

 

 I developed the habit of logging on to hollandamerica.com every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and checking to see if I could book Dining.  (Shore Excursion seemed to open much earlier than dining.)

For some reason hal seems to delay the ability of booking of specialty restaurants on cruises going into the new year.

This has been going on for a number of years so I don't think so but who knows.

Oh, thank you for that, Floridagal.  I keep stressing about our NYE cruise, wanting a good dinner that night, and so far no dice.

I hope you see something soon 🙂.  Just to add a bit more to my post I mean cruises going into 2023 etc, not just around new year.
