Bimini Golf Cart Question

We've been to Bimini many times and rented golf carts but have never arrived by Cruise Ship. We are sailing Carnival to Bimini soon and are wondering:

Does the tram stop at the Resorts World Casino parking lot to let off passengers seeking to rent a cart?

Do you need a reservation to rent a cart there?

If you do, what rental company(ies) operate from that lot that you can reserve with?

What does a cart cost for the day and is that with or without fuel included?

Thanks in advance for any info! 😁

I have not been there but I am also trying to research Bimini.  From what I'm reading on the Celebrity Boards, they rent golf carts right where the ship docks.  No reservations are required.  But like I said, this is only what I'm reading -- I have no first-hand experience.

Thank you. I have heard it is the first stop of the tram.

We have been to Bimini many times. If you have any questions, please ask me. I can answer on just about anything....except cart costs near the pier. Lol.

Thanks, Island Dog.  The only question I have is how far a walk is it from where the ship docks to where you pick up the tram to go to Resorts World. But since this is your first time cruising there I'm sure you don't know!   I've read where some folks said they have golf carts to bring you to the trams......but I've also read other reviews where no mention was made of golf cart transportation to the tram stop.  One of us has trouble walking and I don't even want to think about suggesting we go to Resorts World unless I know the walk is do-able.  The person with the cane would probably not even go to the beach but rather spend some time in the casino and then having lunch at the restaurant at the resort.

The trams are just on the pier behind the ship.

If you can walk from the front to back of the ship you'll be good.

Ton of videos on you tube that clearly show the tram and the short walk.

Doing the same with researching our first trip to Bimini in a month.

I concur with bguppies. Tram pickup is just behind the ship. Tram will take you to golf cart pickup. Getting around the island is super easy by Golf Cart. One main road north and south. At the southern tip of island (ship docks near Northern tip) is Alicetiwn and the small straw market, beautiful Radio Beach, food shacks, makeshift Beach bars, beautiful views, conch ceviche shacks, Big Game Club bars and restaurants, etc. We love Bimini!

Was just at Bimini yesterday on the Elation.

Golf cart rental was $120 for the day (last Sept, it was only $60!

We took the tram when we got off the ship. Although it goes right past the golf carts initially (at the village) the tram does not stop. It heads to the beaches first. On the way back, it stops where you can rent a golf cart.

by 11am there were no more golf carts available for rent.

Thanks for the info. $120? Cabs it is. Lol.

If you are just going to the beach, then take the free shuttle.

If you want to explore the island, find a secluded beach, eat some local food, etc...then the golf cart is the way to go.

I was thinking about it when the price was $60 a day. $120 make the Resorts World look like a more reasonable excursion now.
Thanks for the price update.

While golf carts are the best way to explore the island, $120 is just plain highway robbery imo. Cabs are still relatively inexpensive and last time we were there a cabbie took us from the ferry terminal in Alicetown all over the island grocery shopping and back to the ferry terminal for $20. A cab ride from the cruise pier to Alicetown (where everything is in walking distance) would be around 5-10 dollars. We will be using this option when we go in a few weeks.

Wow  we were there in May and it was $80. These golf carts are a POS. No brakes break down they should be in the scrap yard

Lol...mine had no brakes either. Definitely something to test next time before driving away.

We'll be in Bimini on Oct 31.  Curious to hear about your experience with the cabs, assuming that's what you end up doing.  We were thinking about a golf cart to go down by Radio Beach and visit the Hemingway Bar at Bimini Big Game Club.  Thanks.

We had no problem at all with cabs. The free tram from the pier stops at the casino and golf cart area,  after it goes out to the beach. There is a taxi stand there. We grabbed a cab for $5 apiece that dropped us by the straw market. From there, up the hill is Radio Beach and Big Game Club is a short walk back up the main road. Cabs were available at Radio Beach and the straw market. At Big Game as well, I'm sure. Cab dropped us back by the casino and we caught the tram back to the ship. There were plenty of trams.

We had a great day on Radio Beach drinking Coco Loco's from Coconut Brian's shanty tiki bar. Our only regret was doing the Carnival Pool/Beach pass before going down to Alicetown. Paradise Beach has lost some charm with all the development and the pool was dirty with cups and straws and God knows what on the bottom. We should have spent the whole day in town.

Hope this helps! Gave a great trip. I love Halloween on board.

Thanks Island Dog. I was not that impressed by Paradise Beach last time we were there, so Radio Beach it is!  And the Coco Loco's sound great!

I was in Bimini last November with bf and it was $70 by card or $60 cash. We paid cash 😊. Booked the same cruise to do with my teens November 28/22 and wanted to rent a golf cart and was going on the $60 premise 😔 let's hope it's still the same🙏🤞

You're probably still on a cruise, but wanted to see - how was the golf cart situation?

Just got off the ship this morning. We ended up just taking a taxi to radio Beach, so no info on the golf carts other than there was no shortage of them!

How much was the cab to/from Radio Beach (2 of us)
