Seems a little too close for comfort. Was the Carnival Captain trying to prove a point?

Close and at a decent speed. I looked at the timing of those photos and all three shots occurred in a minute and a half!

We went ashore around 1 pm, no specific plans, just a bit of shopping and beverages of course.

We have a resort for a day booked in curaçao tomorrow, so we decided against a second beach day in a Aruba.

The port shopping map says it’s a “short”  walk into downtown. Pretty certain not everyone would agree. 🥵

Not a lick of shade the entire way. Saw lots of umbrellas

How was the Balashi? I always make it a point to get a local beer in the ports we go to.

my friend ordered it. She asked the waiter what it was like….he said on the lighter side, similar to a corona. She liked it, and said not at all

”hopsy”

So does my husband

I think I will try a local beer in curaçao if there is one, and I’ll report back.

Aruba isn’t a particularly “pretty”  port as far as the views from the ship….

I had originally planned to try and book a dinner on the beach at sunset here….I think I thought the port hours were longer 🤔 🤦🏼‍♀️

wound up cancelling a dinner reservation at Waters Edge in Aruba. Ate in the MDR instead and made some spa appointments for day 7 in Labadee using one of the port specials.

Post sunset view

Central Park is one of my favorite features on Oasis  class ships. After countless sailings it still never gets old, and I always find different angles and perspectives 😎

I make it a point to take at least 10-12 photos there every sailing. Allure is particularly photogenic because the plantings are so mature compared to the newer ships.

That's a lot of smoke.  Is Carnival on fire again?
