Casino at Sea room discount

We gamble a little and have never gotten players cards at any casino we have ever gone to. I thought maybe this cruise I would get a players card and see what it got me. Well as far as I can tell all it did was tell be how much I played pretty much. I dont play allot and only had 2286 points at the end of the week, I see that the next card level is 5,000 points and you get a room discount. So by my math that is playing $25,000.00 as its $5.00 per point, what room discount do you get for the upper tiers in CAS?

You do not need to play A LOT to get freebies.  Call the Casino At Sea team before you plan your net cruise and see if you qualify for a discount or a comp.

Thank you. We are going on another cruise at the end of October and will add a few more points but I doubt I will get to 5,000

you should also sign up for player's cards at any land based casinos you visit.  The comped cruises come easier from the land based casinos.  All of my cruises have come from comps from my local casinos.

That being said, my cruise next month is actually a comp thru casino at sea.  It's some sort of slot tournament cruise and I've never played slots on NCL.  I'm a table games player.  I've never earned enough points to move above the entry level players card.  I happened to call because I wanted to book a cruise thru my land based casino only to find out that I was a few days late because it had expired.  The person then told me that I had a free cruise thru them which I booked.  So it definitely doesn't hurt to call in and see what they can do for you

You may be surprised. When you are thinking about a cruise, call the CAS number and ask them for a comp. Easier to get on a cheaper Caribbean cruise. And maybe on a smaller ship. You need to tell them which ship and sailing date you are interested in. May only be an inside room, but you can upgrade it by paying the difference in price between the comp'ed room and the room you desire. Or get an inside room and bid [cheaply] on an upgrade to an oceanview or balcony.

Wow thats strange. After my cruise in October I will give them a call. I played some craps also and they took my card but no clue how they add points or if it was just a gesture.

If you give the dealer your players card or your room key, they will rate you based on your play.

On Royal, at 2500 points on a cruise, you will get an instant certificate for a free inside room on a future cruise.

How do you reach them?

Thanks!

Everyone else is right.  Call CAS.  I also don’t play heavily, but I’ve gotten several “free” inside cabins, which I’ve paid to upgrade very reasonably.  I have never gotten past the first tier on their program.  Even if they can’t give you a “free” cruise they can usually give you a discount.  It’s been 20% for me.  I now have my own “guy” at CAS and he’s done well by me.  I have his direct line and he’s very responsive.

There are some other perks if you book through CAS as well, like a dedicated check in line and free drinks in the casino bar, including bottled water.  On my last trip they also sent little treats to my cabin just about every day.

It’s worth the call.

I mostly play blackjack and, aside from my first cruise, everything has been a free cabin.  Sometimes inside, which I can pay to upgrade, sometimes club balcony.  Just know that free isn't "free".  There will be fees etc. but it's still a good deal, especially for me, as my single supplement (as a solo traveler) is also waived.

As others have noted above, it doesn't hurt to ask; even if you don't get a freebie, you can get something.

Is Royal the same as NCL as in $5.00 played per point?

booking thru CAS also gets you the low level drink card.  Yes, you can only use it at the casino bar, but it's good enough for me and I'm able to decline the free at sea drink package which saves me those gratuities, and I can also get soda, coffee, and water there

My wife and I both play. We buy in with the same amount every time we play. She plays slots and I play craps. We have sailed 9 times this year with two more booked on her comp. We always get a balcony. I get basically nothing for my craps play.

When it comes to the tables, they measure two ways:  Actual loss and "imputed" loss.  Imputed simply means that they expect someone playing $x per hand/roll for y hours to lose $z over the long haul.  Slots are easier for the casino to track and the payout percentage is generally a lot lower than the tables.

The only time I've had issues getting a comp is when I've won and didn't spend a lot of time gambling (usually because the casino was smoky.)

I think I earned around 40k points on my last cruise.  Started off as a regular member but since I had booked free via Caesars 7stars I had the low level drink card.  Everytime I qualified for a new tier I got a new card and upgraded drink card.  They also sent a bottle of wine and chocolates to the room.

The host comped off the charges on my room, I think around $1,500 and told me I had a bunch more but there wasnt anything I wanted to spend it on.

Still waiting to see if I receive any post cruise offers.

So you played $200,000.00, that's some serious playing. Hope you got a free cruise or 2 also.

There are no real offers. You just call CAS and give them a ship and date and they tell you what level of room the can comp. You are also now at the Ruby level (Caesars Diamond) so you get $400 OBC and 3 bottles of wine on every cruise until April 2024. And the prized black ultra drink card which covers almost any drink at the casino bar.

I've been Ruby for years and I wasn't aware of this perk. Where do you get the free wine?? Is it any wine on the ship or a limited selection?

You pick your 3 “goodies” as a Ruby. We don’t want any food (esp if we are in the Haven) so we just pick wine. And talk to the hosts about what they can do.
