But Royal Caribbean’s suite amenities aren’t much… only worth the upgrade for the actual space in your stateroom.

Perhaps that's the case for a Jr. Suite.   But the full suite perks on Oasis and Quantum class ships are fantastic.  If you're on another class of ship other than those and have tender ports, that could add value, as well as having happy hour in the suite lounge.  Many also enjoy having a concierge as well as a more private breakfast area.

THIS!

Had my first Grand Suite experience on Harmony a few months ago and sure the room was nice but I enjoyed the perks much more than the cabin itself.

Grand suite & above in an Oasis class ship. Suite lounge & Coastal Kitchen is a great experience. 11:00am - 11:00pm free wine & beer. Happy hour free drinks. Not sure if Increase in price paid is worth the perks. But, it’s a good ride.

Never traveled in the Star level suites with Genie service (which sound awesome!), but many times on Oasis class ships in Grand suites and Owner’s Suites.

Coastal Kitchen is a great perk. Happy hour in the Suite Lounge is nice, but the truth is that it’s hectic and crowded and not really the relaxing premium experience promised.  I appreciate the importance of Pinnacle guests to Royal Caribbean, but there are so very many of them that finding seats in the lounge as suite passengers can be a challenge.  Today on Harmony, ALL of the tables along the beautiful wall of windows were filled with Pinnacle members as soon as happy hour began. The space and the two dedicated concierges are really stretched thin with all of the Suite passengers and the Pinnacle members combined.
