Is it allowed? may I carry a 12 pack of diet soda in cans? or bottles?

Is there a limit to the number of cans? or bottles?

I know we can carry wine onboard.

Thank you

p.s. I used the search engine before asking here

Guests may also bring non-alcoholic beverages as carry-on items on boarding day. Non-alcoholic beverages may not exceed 12 standard (17 oz.) cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom. Milk and distilled water brought on for infant, medical, or dietary use are permitted.

You know you are sailing out of Galveston by all the people walking around with 12 packs of Dr. Pepper at embarkation..

If I were to bring any sodas onboard, it would be Dr. Pepper (diet).  Love the stuff and I'm not for Texas.

Rustbucket Cruise Lines Inc. (Carnival), got smart years ago and only allows "cans" or "cartons" to be brough onboard.  Why?  Because there is/was a Youtube video that was a tutorial on how to remove the cap from plastic bottles, fill the bottle with alcohol, and replace the cap as if it was never removed.

You can bring bottles up to 16.9 oz.  two six packs.
