Does HAL Have Comedians for Shows

I can not recall seeing a comedian   perform  on a HAL ship   ;but , that doesn't mean they never have had them perform  .

 

 What is your experience seeing Comedians perform on any HAL ship ?

There were two different comedians on my February Zuiderdam cruise.

They performed in BB Kings.  One was hysterical, watched him 2 different nights.  When he got off the ship, the second was average, I only went to one of his shows.

On the Koningsdam way back in 2019, last time I was on a cruise ship ☹️, there was a very funny comedian in the World Stage…..

There were two comedy sets last week on NS. One night was one 8pm performance in the theater and the other night two performances in BB Kings.

Are those  comedy  shows printed in the daily   paper aboard ship ?

Comedians usually do a show in the main theater one night as the "main show" for the evening, then another set in BB King's on a different night, usually when the BB King band has the night off.

So  on the Koningsdam the comedian will   be in the Lincoln Center  on one of the nights  ,correct ?

Not in Lincoln Center Stage. It will be in the main stage and usually a 2nd night in either BB King or Rolling Stone. All shows are listed in the When and Where

Yes they will be listed in the daily paper.

Recently had a comedian in BB Kings on the Noordam... he was ok.  He had some funny material, but then veered off into politics, which (for many) is decidedly NOT funny.

I do like comedy and go to all of the shows.  Some are in the theater but BB King’s seem now to be the venue of choice.  Some are better than others and some have better shows than others.  On a recent cruise the comedian was slated for three shows, after the first I was hesitant to go to the second .  He was hilarious in the second and third so I am glad I gave him  a second chance.   Most comedians on HAL keep it pretty clean and non controversial.

The comedians on the Koningsdam this summer were both funny, though we heard that some passengers found offence with the funnier one. Both were found in BB King's, and were on the daily sheet.
