Flying oder from Germany to LA on Dec1st.

Stayed at crown plaza this night.

Nice location, close to port (1mile)

Enterprise and  Hertz in walking distance.

Thought about prio Pass, but decided to go without.

Very good decision.

From arrival at port, luggage drop of to the first drink on the ships bar was less than 30 min. (Arrival 11:50:am).

We are in Mini Club suite, i've to say: small...all other normal balkony stateroom on p.e. X are bigger or as normal balcony close. Concierge on Millennium are bigger (wider).

Bathroom is very nice and big. Walk in shower.

Not one single drawer at the room....storage very limited for a 16day cruise.

No FAS+ wine offering at the buffet restaurant.

Had lounch at buffet: very good. A lot of different stuff.....

I miss christmas decoration.... i've seen nothing so far....

Internet is a bit slow but ok....i assume because we are at harbor, still...

2 hours late actually. Captain made an annoucement at 3:30:p.m. and said we have an delay of 30 min.....Well see.....

If you have questions....welcome

Should be at least one large drawer that pulls out from under the sofa.

Be sure to check out the Observation Lounge.  One of my favorite places on the Bliss, especially for a light breakfast or lunch and there is a very nice bar there 🙂

Have a wonderful cruise.

A bit more about the room:

No power outlet near bed

No Power outlet in the bathroom.

So if you have a electric shaver  without battery you have to do it inside the room....from my point of view: design fault.

Smokers be aware: only one tiny place outside: H2O bar, about 20 seats.half of them covered from rain.

Second Option is inside at the casino, but during gambling only.

Having no power outlet by the beds is such a poor design.  I have a CPAP machine as do many other people by the questions about distilled water.  I bring a 25' extension cord that I run around the room otherwise I'd be plugging and unplugging a shorter extension every night and risking tripping on it in the middle of the night.

Recently sailed Breakaway with FAS+ for the wine and champagne. I found most bars, with the exception of dining rooms, did not have any + options.  We did order a bottle of Moët at breakfast in MDR and took it back to our cabin.  Also ordered a white and red at dinner and took unfinished contents to cabin as well.

I found that the bars between the MDRs often had + options, especially the Veuve. Hope this helps you take advantage of your + drink package.

Haven't been on the Bliss in a year but there used to be a smoking area on the pool deck, port side I believe, near the Garden Cafe entrance.  I may be backwards but know there is one on that deck as I used to walk on the other side to avoid it.

First night is over.

I've to say, not really great.

First of all: in one of the rooms close to us,TV was so laud, we are able to partly understand the content.

Second: Ship has a very unusual shaking.

At a frequency of about half a second.

Very uncomfortable if you try to sleep.

Shower is nice having the 6 water outlets.

It has been a while since we sailed on the Bliss, but I seem to recall that there is a power outlet in the bathroom above the mirror (part of the light fixture).  It is limited to very low wattage, just enough for an electric razor, electric toothbrush, etc.  I know they have the bathroom outlets on many NCL ships and I think they are on the Bliss, also.

Checked the dining reservations, today.

Exept today they are all gone. (6 out of 7)

Tried to rebook but our favorite times at the restaurants are blocked already.

So, do we have to check every morning?

This should have been completed yesterday as soon as you got onboard. But now you can check in the morning or there are several big boards on the ship that have the restaurants listed and are coded green, yellow and red under the different dining times so you can see what is available. Depending on the size of your party, I have also just stopped by a specialty restaurant and asked if they have any seating available.  Please do no show or cancel all the time.

I have a friend on this same cruise and she had a wonderful first day.  Hope your cruise improves for you.

When we were on the Bliss 10/25 - 11/6, there was someone in Tepenyaki during the day to assist with reservations.  I'd go there as soon as you can to see if you can get  a reservation.  If not, like someone else said just stop by whatever restaurant you want to eat at and whenever you're ready to eat and see if they have availability.  Enjoy your cruise!!

Internet advice:

if you have one unlimited plan, you are told you can not share.

The work arround:

NCL state you need to switch on flight mode to access NCL Internet.

Yes, right.... But....

Switch on flight mode

Start Internet connection with NCL

Switch of flight mode, be shure to have no connection to a mobile network.

Switch on hotspot _tethering using strong password.

Enjoy on as much devices as you like internet

Today Cabo san Lucas on a sunday.

Took a water tax to the beach...

Sand is very rough, walking along is a pain after a while. Water cristal clear, about 26°C.

In the afternoon, starten about 2pm beach was a zoo...i assume because all the locals came in.

Dinner in Manhatten was great. They had mixed grill today....First time experience I was able to carry the unfinished bottle of Moet with me. All other lines sent it to the room.

Moet was limited to the + members at the table. The bottle of red we shared with our friends without any problem.

Check the TV or at the restaurant. The app consistently says things like teppanyaki has no availability but we were able to make a reservation through the TV. So there must be different inventories available.

I just found the shaver outlet this morning in the bathroom ceiling basically, which reminded me to check back in here. Such an odd spot, it's like they gave you an extra game activity on board - spot the outlet.

Dinner 2nd time in Manhattan at the same waiter Joseph. Perfect Service.

He remembered the dinks we had the day before and asked: same like yesterday....

Its possible to do a reservation with your prefered waiter at the entrance upfront.

Will check how much days in advance is possible.

First "summer": sea day....

Pool Deck crowded. But no waiting lines at the bars.....

H2O full, but still quite and no wait at the bar. By far not enough umbrellas (shade at all)

Dinner at Los Lobos yesterday.

Service was a bit confused, looks like they never had FAS+ ordering stuff.....

Restaurant was nearly empty at 7pm.

After dinner at 9 only 2 table where used.

Food: hmmm to be honest, I don't like that taco stuff.

Was not hungy afterwards, but again: nope

Today Acapulco tour was nice, but you see clearly this City is going down to drain.....

Lot of ruins, brocken hauses.....

Cliff jumper where absolut great.
