Best transport solution from Miami Airport to Ft. Lauderdale

We go on a TA cruise from Ft. Lauderdale in April and return by air to Miami a month later.  Our flight arrives late, about 9:30PM, so we will be looking for transport to our hotel in Ft. L to pick up our vehicle and spend the night before going home to Georgia.

What is the best solution for transport?  We don't use Uber.  What would be the typical cost?

Curious, the reason you don't use Uber?

We went from FLL hotel to Port Miami. The hotel was charging $25 per seat on their shuttle one-way. $50 for a couple? Not bad... but we had to wait for the scheduled departure time, for other passengers, and then go to each cruise terminal to drop people off?   That didn't sound good to us at all.

So, we pinged an Uber for $45, and had a car out front in under 10 minutes. We watched the shuttle driver still trying to organize all the luggage in the back of his van as we comfortably rode away in our private chariot!

If  you don't want to use timeshare a taxi from MIA to FLL area will run about $75-80+ on the meter. There will be a line of cabs waiting outside of the airport.

Is there a particular area to get the cab or uber in the fastest amount of time from where we get out of the terminal?

There will be a line of cabs waiting as you exit the terminal with bags.

Delta changed our flights so we don't arrive in Miami until a few minutes after Midnight.  We will need to go to a Marriott hotel near the Ft. Lauderdale Airport.
