mom23guys Posted January 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2023 We travel with friends sometimes and like to open the balcony divider so we can sit outside together. Although we travel on various cruise lines by ourselves we usually book on Celebrity S class ships we we travel together because we can have the cabin attendant open the dividers. We wanted to try Holland next cruise but only if we can have the divider opened. TIA.
BobbiSox Posted January 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2023 Short answer: Yes. MOST of them do open. Your room sterwards will open them if asked.
Rare Copper10-8 Posted January 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2023 Yes, they do, but only with a special key. They can be opened per request of the occupants of the cabins on either side. You might see them all in the open position on disembarkation day morning when sailors drag a water hose by the balconies deck by deck in order to hose them down for cleaning
leerathje Posted January 17, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2023 We wwere on the Koningsdam with 3 rooms side by side on deck 4 (the extra long verandahs). We asked our room steward to open the dividers between them all, but just an FYI, only the 1 panel close to the veranda edge opens. Here's a couple of photos: L. Heartgrove Posted January 17, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2023 I don't know the number but there is a limit of dividers that can be open in succession. That is for Fire Safety reasons.
