Another consideration is balcony coverage.  The Royal class ships all have a "slant back" stern.  You'll find minimal coverage on your balcony, so you'll almost always be in the sun unless the ship is turned in a way where the whole vessel is in line with the sun and providing shade.

As for ship vibration, I've only noticed any when they are using thrusters during docking.  The main propellers do not vibrate, however you will hear the turns of the screws and prop wash when you are out on your balcony and the ship is sailing someplace.  It is quite calming, actually.

Oh no didn't know this about being covered, we always try for E723 or in that area. We know it is over the Vista lounge but on most ships opposite side from the band stand one floor down. Never had any issue with noise or vibration (except thrusters when docking). I need to explore this on the Enchanted have sailed on the Regal twice once mid forward area and once in the corner aft suite but never on Emerald deck in this location :(.

Thanks for the heads up.

We stayed in B734 on the Royal and loved it. We are sailing on the Enchanted in a couple weeks in E728 and fully expect it to be wonderful as well. Not worried about the lounge, we will probably be down there till it closes anyway lol
