We are Latitudes Gold. We had a balcony. We received 6 liters each of the Flow water due to our gold status. It was so much water for a 7 day cruise that we ended up leaving 5 liters when we got off the ship.

The water you received was most likely from the water promotion that ran for three months as it is not a benefit of gold status.  But I am glad you received the water as it has been an issue for some.

the water that comes out of the tap is literally pumped in from the ocean.  it is then processed (called desalinization) to remove most of the salt.   that said trace amounts still remain (you cant taste it) but that's one reason why people get bloaty (alcohol and teh salt in the food are the other two reasons).  its actually pretty fascinating how they do it, you can see/hear about it on a behind the scenes tour.  the sea water is also used for laundry adn anything else requiring water on board.

That's interesting.  I didn't know that.  That said, I'm guessing that I consume a lot more salt with/on my food that the trace amounts in my drinking water.  Salt affects different people in different ways.

The tap water is also chlorinated. At the buffet and bars (two places you can fill up a bottle) the water is carbon filtered to take away the chlorine.

Has anyone brought a Brita water jug and kept it in the cabin fridge? We are thinking about bring one and filling it up with tap water.

This is the winner. Or even outside the fridge if it doesn't fit. You can add ice or consume at room temperature.

Or a water bottle with a filter. Like this one:

Brita Insulated Filtered Water Bottle with Straw, Reusable, BPA Free Plastic, Blush, 26 Ounce https://a.co/d/7lNQLoD

ETA: or maybe I'll just spend $175,000 in the casino so I don't have to worry about it.

I booked a couple of months ago and had the 6 free bottles of water promo. We'll see in 8 days if it comes true! 😀

We booked a couple cruises with the water promotion and we did receive them in our cabin on the first day.

Do the casinos have the box water free, or is it just filled from tap? I'm on a casino at sea cruise and was planning on going through the casino for my drinks. Also, not spending 175k to get it either 🙂

As far as I know, it's part of the beverage perk that CAS players get in the casino.

Where are people getting the insane notion that you have to spend $175K or $250K to reach Pearl status?  To reach Pearl status you need to cycle through $25,000.  The only way that you would actually spend that amount would mean that you lost every hand or spin of the slot machine.
