ROBC vs NROBC

Can someone refresh my memory as to what each one means.....what constitutes a Refundable OBC, and same for a Non Refundable?

R is refundable NR is non refundable.

OBCfrom Celebrity is non refundable.  Most OBC from TA is refundable.

Thanks...

NROBC from Celebrity. Will be used first when making purchases in your CP or onboard. 

ROBC from a TA. Credited back to your Credit Card.

My booking confirmation says onboard credit. I know some is from celebrity and some from TA.  How do I know if the TA portion is refundable?

Otherwise if the TA is participating with Celebrity on a promotional OBC, even though it appears to be coming from the TA, it's not so that will be NROBC.  Make sure you ask your TA first if their OBC is R or NR.

Also once you are onboard you can check your onboard account on your stateroom TV. It will show separately refundable and non refundable OBC amounts.

ROBC from your TA typically does not show up before you are onboard.  That means you cannot use for advance purchases but if you don't use it during the cruise it is refunded to you.. a little double edge sword on this stuff.
