Officers' Soirée - brief?

The app for our cruise shows the 'officers' soirée' at 8:00 pm in the Grand Foyer. It also shows it finishing at 8:15 pm. There is no second event shown, so the invite covers all passengers. For 15 minutes. 

to those who have attended similar events recently, does this sound reasonable / typical, please? Or could there be a mistake in the app's wording?

Sounds about right. Depending on the CD introducing the individual senior officers. One time event.

A quick intro of the officers.  That all.  Used to do a toast to a safe journey.   Oh well.

I also think it depends upon the Captain.  We’ve been where the Captain acknowledges staff members for longevity of service, etc., as well as any new Zenith passengers.  But some are in and out in minutes.

That’s a different event….the Captains Club celebration introduces the top cruisers.

 

The soirée is more like the Captain's Toast event.  Onlookers line the railings overlooking the atrium and raise their glasses to the Captain and officers
